My grandmother bought a portable AC made from Haier. It's a portable AC but it's quite heavy for my grandmother. She originally bought it from Fry's in Sacramento. The day we drove seventy miles to Fry's to carefully choose the unit and brought it to her home. It was quite heavy to carry it up to the second floor too. When it was unwrapped, we found the accessories in the box was missing. When we looked at the manual, the back was printing similar like: Do not return, please call the company for assistance.
We called Haier to describe the problem. Haier customer supporters referred to A&E in Sacramento for service. They arranged a tech to come out to my door to look at the unit on Saturday weekend. The tech was shown up with his shoes on the carpet all over the place. Then he started to look at the unit and began to talk on the phone for hours. Lately, I was told that I have to pay for the accessories of the portable AC. I was trying to tell him that the unit is new, and also the parts should be covered because it comes with the box.
Finally, I called back to Haier. Haier customer representatives told me to call A&E to tell them to order the parts. I hung up the phone and called back to A&E again and the same answer they had was the parts are not under covered. Then I tried to call back to Haier again to tell them that the A&E will not comply with anything I said. One of the Haier customer rep. called A&E again and she got the same answer, the parts are not under covered. Haier rep. told me to return the unit to the store where I purchased the unit. No matter what I was trying to explain how far it is from the store and how heavy it is for my grandmother, they just don't want to listen.
Sincerely,
