Thanks sir, My sim card is working.
I have requested to portout from AIRTEL, but they are not following TRAI rules. For retaining they are simply cancelling request with out informing to the customer.
I would like to have necessary action on AIRTEL people.
They simply charging more money and there are lot of hidden charges in AIRTEL.

AirTel — MNP Portability
Airtel rejecting my MNP applicationI am using airtel no [protected] (AP) for the last 5 yrs . And i want to change my mobile operator Through mobile number portability from airtel to BSNL.
And i went to BSNL show room and i submit my id proof and porting charges.
But i receive a message from BSNL that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because of Leagal reasons. Actually in my case there is no Leagal obligation with Airtel because mine was an individual normal prepaid connection. they are simply delaying my complaint . Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.
I am really going through hell with airtel with whom I had requested to port in from Idea. Both my mobile connections are out of service and both my mobile numbers do not exist. Even after being corporate mobile connection, nobody is bothered to get the problem rectified. I have been constantly calling and following up airtel. Gradually the resolution time is increasing from hours to days. The problem reference number I have been given is 39013748. Everytime I have felt that even supervisors be it Gagan, Nitish or Puneet kumar at their helpdesk are not even bothered with the customer grievance. Irony is that you cannot even go back to your previous mobile operator as you have to serve a company for atleast 90 days. No rule has been made for these mobile operators if they fail to do MNP on time. Its only me who is suffering the overall loss.
Useless operator
Hi,
Even after repeatedly writing to Nodal officer, as no one heard my complaint at Airtel helpdesk, I am not even getting any reply from the Nodal officer on this issue.
According to TRAI (at their web site)
Abstract below
CHAPTER 3 Abstract
7. Redressal of Consumer Grievances by Nodal Officers.------ In case a consumer is not satisfied with the redressal of his grievance by the Call Centre, such consumer may approach, by a letter in writing, or through telephone, or web based online filing of complaints or through short message service or through other electronic means and any other means, the Nodal Officer of the service provider for redressal of his grievance:
Provided that a consumer may, in emergent situation, approach at the first instance a Nodal Officer instead of a Call Centre and the Nodal Officer shall redress the grievance.
9. Time limit for redressal of complaints by Nodal Officer.----- The Nodal Officer shall redress the complaints of the consumer within ten days of the registration of the complaint under clause (b) of regulation 8:
Provided that complaints relating to fault or disruption of service or disconnection of service shall be redressed within three days from the date of registration of complaint under clause (b) of regulation 8:
I have even sent this to Nodal officer but still not getting any response from anyone except for the standard email that has been sent to me about someone would contact me if I provide my contact number at [protected]@in.airtel.com.
Now even look at that, the call reference number that I mentioned in my previous post already has my contact number that Airtel is asking me. This means no one has even gone through the call reference number before replying me over my post because had they looked at the details, they would have certainly got my contact number.
Bravo Airtel!!!

Hi,
My issue is still not resolved and today is the last day for porting id getting expired. I spoke with Mr. Sunil Kumar on Sunday afternoon and he asked me to make a payment of Rs300 (Unbilled amount was Rs286) by Monday. He promised me that he will send NOC to Vodafone by Monday night. I made a payment of Rs300 on Monday but nothing has been done from airtel so far. When I called up airtel on Monday night, executives told me that I still have a balance of Rs.23. This happened when I didn’t use this number from Sunday night to Monday. This is totally ridiculous. I am a old customer of airtel and I have done all payments promptly till now. Today, Tuesday I called up customer care min 8 times (Called from [protected]) to talk to Mr. Sunil Kumar but no one transferred the call.
This is to inform you all that if porting out is not done by today EOD, then I will not make even single rupee payment against this number and I will disconnect all 5 airtel numbers.
I have also filed a complaint in consumer court for this issue.
Thanks and Regards,

Dear Sir/ madam,
This is Vijetha working in Oracle India. I have a serious issue with Airtel services when I applied for mobile number portability. I want to switch from Airtel to Vodafone for my number [protected] since our company has contract with Vodafone. I applied for portability long back but still its not done. Every time I call customer care, I get different process and procedures. I am fed up calling customer care for this and I don’t know what to do.
I have cleared my outstanding amount, changed corporate plan, I have submitted documents to Vodafone 20 days back. Vodafone says there is a problem from airtel side. Today one of your executive told me that it will be done in 7 working days. I will wait for exactly 7 working days from tomorrow. I will not bear any more torchure from airtel services and I will disconnect all my airtel numbers including broadband. I will go for some other service provider.
This is totally ridiculous. I look back for positive service.
Thanks and Regards,

AirTel — Mobile Portability Number
Dear Sir,I have applied for mobile portability number on 24th Jan 2012. My number is [protected]. I wanted to shift from Tata Docomo to Airtel. Each time I talk to customer care of Airtel, they never give a proper reply. Sometimes they say the issue is with Tata Docomo, sometimes we have not received you request or sometimes it will take 4 days.
Yesterday, I talk to one of the executive of Airtel, he said that it may take 2 months or even an year to get transfer, people have applied since 2 & 1/2 months & still they are waiting. Still they are waiting . Twice I have generated Unique Portability Code.
If this is the way Airtel works then I am sorry to say I am very much disappointed with there service & response & also for going for Airtel.
I wanted to know if there is any way to lodge a complain, if it is please send me the procedure.
Hi Khanshahab,
