AMITY UNIVERSITY - A BIG FRAUD......Perhaps the biggest advertisement blitz by any institue/university in India is by Amity University.They place full-page ads in all the leading newspapers and have brain-washed the public into believing that they are one of the top ranking MBA institues in India. They shamelessley claim to be among the top 10 MBA institutes in India. I sincerely feel that they pay money to some magazines and channels so that they also support their claim. Amity says it has 100 % placement in MBA. The truth is its 0 %, atleast for its 3 Continent Course, which is a relatively new course started by Amity to fleece gullible parents and students enticing them with 3-month London ( actually its a 2 - 3 room affair taken on rent in a building in London and given the name of Amity Business School !!!! ) & 3-month New York study in the last semester. The Course fee is more that double of a local MBA in Amity and triple of any MBA fee in any reasonable institute. My son who joined this course in July in 2009, was sent to London, along with about 30 other students, in Feb 2011 in his last semester. From there he was sent to NY, all this at exorbitant charges, for another 2 months. When he came back to India in July 2011, there were no Companies for Campus placement. Whatever Companies came for placement, had already completed their recruitment between Feb - to April, when these so- called 3 - Continents students were out of India. The Institute just washes its hands off of any responsibilty and all the students have been left to fend for themelves. My son has been sitting at home for the last 3 months since its vy vy difficult for a Fresher to get a job, if you have not been hired via Campus Placement. Any attempt to contact the institute's authorities has met with a stone-walled silence and shooing away by them. I appeal to the general public not to fall prey to Amity's propoganda and think twice before enrolling for its 3- C course lest they be cheated by this master fraud university.
