I have been allotted Flat No. B-104, B-Block, Pragati Vihar Hostel, Lodhi road, New Delhi by the Department of estates, Government of India. An ammount of around Rs. 16000/ PM is being deducted from my salary every month toward rent for the above flat. This room is howewer unfit for living due to apathetic and negligent attitude of the CPWD, Pragati Vihar Hostel, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Following complaints remain unattended by CPWD since past one year despite repeated requests and visits to the officie.:
1. The CPWD could not attend to the problem of persistent seepage in the kitchen and bed room.
2. The flat need immediate white washing/paint since past one year, but the CPWD has done nothing in this regard despite lodging of several complaints since June 2011.
3. The CPWD people broken tiles in the bathroom for some repairs, but the tiles have not fixed since past one year since past one year.
4. Requests were also made for repair of few items such as stool since past one year, but no action has been taken by CPWD since past one year.
5. The cockroach, insect and rodent problem is not at all attended by the CPWD and the Flat has become a virtual unhygenic prison to live.
The AE CPWD was approached several times but he does not have time for such petty complaints and simply ask to contact the JE. The JE is not available on most of the occasions as he is said to be on round. He met at 2/3 occasions and assured to do the needful several times, but no action has so far been taken on any of the above complaints. The Executive Enginer and SE could never be contacted despite several attempts on my part.
The Flat has become a health hazard due to non cooperation from CPWD officials and my office work have also suffered several time for paying personal visits to CPWD office in office hours, but of no avail. Due to the unhigenic conditions of the room my family has to pay very high medical expenses every month. The CPWD should be held responsible for health hazard, mental agony and official disturbance. In view of the above problems it is requested that I may be suitaly compensated for the mental agony and monetary losses by CPWD and Directorate of Estate due to apathetic attitude and poor services of CPWD.
