[Resolved]  Auto Rickshaw — Meter Tampered

Hi,

I take an auto daily morning from location X to lcoaiton Y. The expected meter rate is to be 140 Rs. The meter of KA02 D8653 showed Rs. 170. On confronting him he refused to take only 150 Rs. and i had to pay him 170.

I boarded an Auto (KA 05 AB 6302)this morning, the exact distance is 10.2kms from X to Y, but the distance showed in the meter was 13.4kms (which is 3.2 kms more than the actual distance). This is purely tampering of meter. Actual amt would be around Rs.114/- but ended up paying Rs.142/-) This driver should be penalised. Kindly address my concern and take appropriate action.

You will have to complain to the relevant people.

1. Transport Authorities in Bangalore (Important)
2. Traffic police in Bangalore.(You can try)

I have been trying to educate people on this for a long time.
