Address: Pune, Maharashtra |
I am Dr. Leela Phadke, a gynecologist practicing in Pune, Maharashtra.
I purchased a colposcope Colpro 222 DX, OZ view from Frontline Electromedical Systems Ltd, Delhi in June 2010 at a value of Rs. 70,000 including all taxes. I found a catalogue and operator manual in Chinese language inside the box which raised my doubt about authenticity of the colposcope. Company had promised me to deliver an Australia made colposcope. I insisted on the Proof of import from Australia and the other certificate fully knowing that all Australian products are bound to have those quality certificates if medical device is manufactured in Australia..
They could not give me any answers and they could not prove the specifications given in the catalogue and the claim of manufacturing in Australia. In a congress recently in Pune, I met Dr. Maya Vidyarthi from Nagpur who was also having a big issue with them over service and poor image quality. She had also purchased the colposcope of Frontline/proMIS at Rs. 65,000 and had paid only Rs. 40,000 as advance. The proMIS ( Frontline ) people are neither repairing the colposcope nor even coming to receive the balance payment.
We both have checked and found out that :
• Product is Actually manufactured in China and imported from China instead of Australia: M/S Frontline has made wrong declaration that the product is manufactured in Australia. We received from Indian customs department their import documents of M/S Frontline which clearly shows that product is actually manufactured by M/S Guangdong Biolight Meditech Co, China. and imported from China but product is marked as proMIS, Australia. We have with us a copy of Bill of entry (obtained from Indian custom department), Airway bill[protected] Packing list, copy of invoice no. DO9033001 Dtd. 24-09-10 priced each @ US $ 400.00. Bill of Entry clearly shows the product is of Chinese origin.
• No Quality Certification: Their original catalogue for digital video colposcope does not shows any quality certification viz CE, FDA or ISI. How a hospital can compromise with patient safety as the equipment does not have any quality certifications.
• Medical equipment in Australia can not be manufactured without quality certification: If a product in manufactured in Australia as claimed by M/S Frontline, then it must have certain certification. Because actually it’s a Chinese colposcope so Frontline people are not able to produce those certificate for their colposcope.
Manufacturing in Australia at residential address not allowed : As per information we have, as per Australian laws manufacturing is not allowed at residential premises. In this case M/S Frontline manufacturing address of proMIS Colposcope in Australia is a residential address in Australia and when I called the phone no given in the catalogue the phone was picked up by a girl named Nidhi agnihotri who called herself as Nydee .I discovered that she is the daughter of sister in low of Rajeev Sharma who is the Director of Frontline as well as owner of promis Australia doing MBA from there.
We have sent several letters and now a legal notice but Frontline / proMIS / Devine Meditech/ Fortune Meditech ( all are operating from same address ) and the letters are returned as : Person left without notice. We therefore request one and all through this prestigious forum of Consumer complaints that if you come across this company, please immediately notify to me at leela.[protected]@hotmail.com
We have also come to know that consumer forum and criminal cases are pending against the director of this small two man company in various courts in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Bharatpur, Indore ,Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, Ludhiyana, Chandigarh, Una Himachal Pradesh etc. for cheating, fraud and supply of duplicate items.
This company was also blacklisted by Indian railways, PGI Chandigarh ,AIIMS Delhi, KGMC Lucknow etc. for fraudulent documents and claims.
They are roaming with stolen colposcopes of other prestigious companies and confuse the unaware customers like us.
