[Resolved]  Capgemini India — Sudden change in notice period

Hi,

I am an employee of Capgemini India. I was hired few months back and at that time in my offer letter the notice period for termination was mentioned as 1 month. I accepted it rather it was so for all those who joined in that period. Recently we have been informed through email that the notice period will be increased to 3 months from June 1st. We felt it is kind of cheating here. I can understand when this rule is applied to those who are joining newly but not to those who have already joined. Company is now taking advantage of this situation as they are asking associates to take up tasks which are not in their domain. Like,one of my friend who is a Java developer was asked to take care of some documentation work.Similarly another colleague of mine is working in Pune and his wife & new born baby are staying in HYD. Company doesn't have any projects running in HYD which is of his domain, so he plans to move to another company. But all of the sudden the notice period is 3 months. In short people are not able to move out also and at the same time company doesn't take care of the employee's interest and concerns.

Can you please help us in this regard?

I have resigned yesterday[protected] due to my personal reason and I got a call from HR, i requested him to relieve me early and i am ready to buyout but they won't accept. Even if my manager relieve me, i should serve 3 months notice period even i don't have any work. What a policy ya ...

The company policy is to trap the employees. If they will provide pension after retirement then even 30 Years of notice period will be better. I am facing a very very diffuclt situation for all these policies.

i am suffering from the same problem and even i joined in the month of march 2010 and they enforced the 3 months notice period from month of june 2010

Hi Guys,

There is one more worst company called Redpine Signals in Hyderabad, which has recently enforced 3 months forced notice period as well as whole day salary deduction if you reach after 9:30 on the day. I request NOT to join Redpine signals who makes employees fool like this.

I had a Capgemini Walkin on 8th Sep 2012. I cleared written test and technical face to face round and then they called me for HR Round where I got the good news that I got selected. My package was discussed and HR told me I will get informed by next week about the joining.

So next week, I waited and she(recruitment consultant) sent me boarding mail with confidential information and asked me to fill the information.I filled it and sent it.

I waited for 3 weeks after that, still I didn’t get the call. I sent her mail and called her..I got no response.

It’s been more than a month. I don’t think I will receive offer letter even after receiving the confidential mail.

I just want a response but I am not getting it.

i am a fresher and i got selected in capgemini and am facing problem with location .
recently i got mail for the mumbai opening but i am not confortable with mumbai location.
if am in hold now
can any one tell how long will it take for getting chance in bangalore location.
i heard capgemini will fire freshers after 3 months of training period by giving a silly reasons please let me know i got a offer letter am worrying about this
Capgemini HR policy is very bad.They don't even bother about the security of woman employee when for project exigency they have to stay till late night but they don't want to provide cab.Some manager and supervisor are even very bad than HR they don't have sufficient knowledge that they should have being a supervisor or manager, they behave badly with the subordinates.Capgemini already looses faith for all these to a vast number of employees.I was with Capgemini kolkata for the period[protected] in a .net internal project but I left Capgemini with very bad experience that I received from my supervisor..his name was something pranavesh..he is very worst manager with least knowledge both in technical and managerial domain.I would advice new employee please make sure before joining to Capgemini.
Capgemini is the worst company i ever worked for. I talked with management and hr For transfer, it was no use talking to them for a year or so. The management suddenly gave me ratings of 5 even though i was getting avg rating of 3 for 2 years and told me to resign giving me 3 months salary. Today i dont have job for 5 months.
Hi I worked for Capgemini for one year.
I have resigned from the Job in the month of June.My notice period was 2 months.
Its have been almost two months i have not received my salary arrears till now.
I wrote mails to HR and pay roll team several times but no response from them.

Its quite unethical that company is not releasing the salary of resigned employees for such a long period of time.

Dear HR Team,

One of the worst HR team i have never seen any industry,

Yesterday there is walking for Accounts Receivable at Capgemini white filed main road, Bangalore on 3 sep -2014.

We have been there at around 11.45 AM, we have completed the all the formality and waiting for 1st around interview,

we have around 25 people for Accounts Receivable in collection, they spilt in to two Batches, the first batch interview is finished almost 3.30 PM, we thought it's time for 2nd batch, we have been waiting, till 5.00 pm, then i check with concern person who is taking candidate interview, have you received 2nd batch resume, he said NO, they finished all 1 batch interview and they left.

After 5.10 pm Guruprasad & Abhishek Nayer came and telling that some sort of stupid story, saying that today it's not gone happen, all bull story, because they have not hand over our resume to concern person on time... he came to know that they did a mistake, and they are trying to escape from the mistake started unwanted question like how many years of Exp in particular role all other kind question, we have given complete details in given application form.why they didn't check all these thing before, stupid fellows, they are cheaters, lair's,

We have wasted hole day for this time and money to listen this kind of stupid message,

People are coming far destination for interview spending lot of time and money for purpose of attend the interview, we are not slave, we are also human being, the same air which we breath they also breath same air, they are not different human being, cheaters, I don't how many times they did this kind of mistake, if they believe in the God the pain we suffer yesterday they will also suffer the same pain in their life..., , , , , ,

I was offered almost 1.5 lakh less annul package from my current job.

The worst Joining process. Got email morning 7:40 AM with breakup structure and mentioned that report to Vikroli Office at 9:AM even documents have not been scanned, no buddy was allocated but join within couple of hours.Before came for Interview, I shared all my details with Consultancy but still my CV was shortlisted by HR. During HR round Minal(HR) told me that capgemini is incapable to pay even similar to your current package but because of capgemini brand I accepted it. No proper welcome email or salary acceptance was sent, even every time the emails were sent to me just before 1-2 Hrs before 9:00 AM, otherwise all promises were made during telephonic conversation. Extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour by HR (Arathy Nair and Minal Chedda). These 2 Hr imposes their own rules on the new joinees and deteriorate the name of Capgemini. Even Arathy does not have courtesy to talk to the employee. Instead of hiring a candidate they just show their cheep negotiation and communication skills to get early promotion and for the sake of profit sharing with consultancy.Just before signing the offer letter, I asked her to tell me the buddy name, she replied, complete your formality than come to me, i will let you know.After completion of joining formality I called her, she did not pick up the phone 4-5 times . Finally, I had to go to meet her to ask reporting location, she replied in complete unprofessional and rude manner that nothing has been decided for you because we don't have trust in you. I never expected this cheap behaviour in a CMM level 5 company.I got black listed mail by Minal. Your wish, but I would like to bring it into notice that please don't hire completely incapable, rude and unprofessional resources in Hr department it brings down the brand .
