[Resolved]  Chingu Blanket schemes — Cheating on fake chingu blanket schemes

Address: Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir

We were told about a "Chingu" blanket scheme in Patnitop when we were there for our vacations in May '10 .
We were told that it is a government sponsered scheme , where we will get back some money after 21 months or 5 years as we prefer . But after confirming from Jammu & Kashmir emporioum in Delhi , they denied any such scheme . We had already paid ~Rs 3000 for registration.

Just to bring to your notice , that it is openly being done in extremely large scale , every other shop in patnitop is luring and cheating the tourists like this and that too with Government being prjojected as a reference for scheme . Why can't we bring all such shops to face some action , else so many others will get cheated alike

ankit 786's response same story is repeated here. I had purchased the chingoo blanket at the price of 8600rs and 300 registration fee for the J&K government buy back scheme. when i told every thing to our local haired driver He told me that chingoo is a fake which done by the shopkeepers. He told me that all the material including gifts worth only 2000(max.) and you had been cheated by the shop owner. I advise all my friends who are going to J&Kplease beaware of these kind of shopping...

Actually they dont write about such schemes on Bill, but can they be Complained on the basis that the blankets are fake.. and their cost on bill is rs 16, 000?

He told me that all the material including gifts worth only 2000(max.) and you had been cheated by the shop owner.

I advise all my friends who are going to J&Kplease beaware of these kind of shopping...

unfortunately ...the problem cant be solved by posting the complaint here...only way is to lodge a complaint in police stn where the product has been purchased...
many such shop-keepers bribe the policemen ..so present a solid proof before them while lodging the complaint

I have purchased the same from Manali 10 days back. I was not aware about this fraudulent actions. I have paid 2100 in advance and expected to pay 5000 more when the products will reach home. Please advise what i should do now? The mobile number/land number they have given were not working. Only the shopowners mobile number which i got accidentally is working and when i called he told me to wait for few more days.
Now i have shipped all the goods to my hometown address where my parents are supposed to receive the parcel and pay 5000. They don't know what products i have purchased and probably will not get a chance to open the parcel and verify before paying.

now after 2 year all the moile nos are not working.

Govt/police should take some action, they know everything.

Blanket Sale — Appears Cheat

I also have purchased the blanket sold near J & K handicraft showrooms at Jaamvant Gufa at a cost of Rs.18400 with some promotional gifts and with buy back after 22 months to 5 years and a return of Rs.27000.This scheme is only for women for their upliftment.I doubt whether i will get the money or not.If this is a cheating business in the name of government.If this is not promoted by government then JK govt. should take appropriate step to stop the malpractices in going on the name of JK tourism and Handicraft development.

which is the right way to stop this kind of fraud shops ?
I call the police for this type of complaints, they give me the answer it's not my duty. You call in Consumer Court
your problem solve by them only.

The same case is happening still now also...all this is a fraud...a very big fraud and if possible I would want the J&K govt to take action against all this so that it is not repeated in future..the biggest frauds take place in Patnitop where nag baba temple is situated ...

Same story chingu is fake today i bought my packet of chingu but thair r no chingu and no any blankit only dustbean metrial are thair why jhamu kashmir gov not taking any action i thiknk gov has involvd in this scheme bjp sarkar chor hai jammu kashmir sarkar chor hai sab sala madharchod chingu beche wala cor hai koi mat lena bhai agar le bhi lo to postoffice se mat churana

no it is not fraud because i also purchased it in just Rs.8600.
