IT'S not the question of how much they charge, but its question of how fool the public is.its a common sense that when hospital provide u such a aesthetic look and luxury facility they will definitely charge u more.don't u decide about your limits of before
Getting into business?they opened such hospital with some sense believing that fools are there who got lot of salary paid in dollars and dumb at the same time.I purely condemn the behavior of that doctor.she is not god.and there are lots of babies are borned everyday in good hospital whose parents don't have much money.anyway its all fantasy for people of current generation so spend money ha ha.Dr.shushrut quality assurances team.

Dr. Brunda Channappa is a no fuss, no nonsense kind of Doctor. My wife delivered a baby a few days back and we are really grateful to her for all her help. I don't want some doctor sugar coating us with useless information instead of getting to the point. She told us like it was, we followed the nine month journey with her as our guide and trust me, it was all worth it. She may be late because the lady spends more than 18 hours in hospitals and clinics then her home. I salute you Ma'am and thank you once again.

I don't agree with your comments. Doctors are human too! You have written your bit - there is no defense for the doctor here. Nowadays people can write what they want - and get away with it. If the doctor or the hospital decides to sue you - like they do in the US, then people will be "guarded" in talking non-sense! My wife delivered in Cloudnine with Dr Brunda and had a normal delivery. Cloudnine charges for what they provide. Indeed their charges are the cheapest among corporate hospitals - which we did check before we went in there. As far as Dr Shushrut - sounds like Sour Grapes story! Recently they got BEST Hospital award for maternity and newborn care in Karnataka - they are not doing just for money - a hotel or a restaurant would have got them more money than a hospital, I am sure since I am in restaurant business, I know. Don't talk loose talk, talk with sense, if you have a problem with Dr Brunda, don't go to her. Not all patients can relate to all doctors - that doesnt mean you can talk non-sense.
I agree with patient 456. Dr.Brunda came across to be a very poised and composed Doctor. And yes!! She is NO BULL , Doc...From what I have heard of, she hates the term C-Section.Suggest her that, and she would Growl at you.We just went ahead with everything she asked us to do rather than asking too many questions. My wife is expecting, so its too early to comment too much. But, I couldn't help notice the negative comments about the Doctor. No hard feelings 'customer_jaago'.
Dr Brunda Chanappa wouls never ever push for a C-sec unless its medically reqd...me, my sis, my cousins all had normal delivery & all thanks to her...she is the best doctor in Blore & highly recommendable...Thank U doc for all that u have done for us...and for all our beautiful babies...
i completely disagree with ur views..Dr brunda is a no nonsense doctor. she does not entertain time pass questions, , she treats patients like mature people . i was advised c section from 2 doctors, , 1st one being a wellknown doctor from Bombay and 2nd from bangalore due to placenta complication. dr brunda was the 3rd doctor i approached as i did not want c section and the 1st thing she told me was c section was not required, she assured me that the complication would be taken care. i delivered naturally under her care. i still remember it was her marriage anniversary that day and still she was patient with me as i delivered at night.i will always bee thankful to her.
Everybody has their bad days... and on the day with a family emergency, Dr. Brunda still managed to walk in and consult u, was a big thing.
She delivered my first one. and yes, she doesn't show much compassion to patients early on. and that's exactly how it should be. She doesn't want us to take her for granted. she does put in some fear only to help patients take better care of themselves. but the amount of patience that lady doctor has, its commendable. She stays with patients in the delivery room for hours... not all doctors do that. they come right when the baby is being delivered and leave the further procedures to juniors. as far as C-sec is concerned, check out the testimonials on their website.. she has the most number of normal deliveries. don't just write bull just coz u cant handle a small misinterpretation.

I am not sure about the doctor. But one thing is clear that VC, who invest in this venture, off-course for good business and force doctor to do all these nonsense (as doctors are highly paid in those hospital/may be joint venture/share) and subsequently the actual pressure comes to patient. It is India, and most of the people are not economically strong as hospital expect them to spend for a normal case.
We, people also look for 5 star facility in hospital and not ready to pay the cost associated with it, off course doctor and staff and management can't earn that much money without fooling patient party.
Note: In today's time with advanced technology, doctors has very little role in normal case patient, however experience counts for those doctor who can help patient as they take oath when they goes for studying medical. There should be some difference in Business Vs. Life (Where doctors are consider as GOD!!)

My wife delivered in Cloudnine in June 2012. We went to Dr Brunda for 2nd opinion as there were some early pregnancy issues. She was very direct and no-nonsense, but she spoke truth. That convinced us to continue with her. As the days went by, I could see that she was quite concerned about well being of my wife. It was not just a doctor visit.
At the time of delivery, she tried her best for normal delivery. At very late stage, my wife developed some complications and it was a Sunday night. In less than 30 minutes, she could arrange the whole team for a C section on a late Sunday night. I would never forget that. That prompt action from Dr Brunda and Cloudnine was very helpful in my wife's delivery and recovery.
Yes, the charges are high...but for me the Cloudnine hospital and Dr Brunda managed a emergency situation very well. I would strongly recommend Dr Brunda.

its the worst hospital I've ever seen.they r not ready to tell a patient is pregnant or not.they just want to make money.a duty doctor deepika, she was tellin abt the internal clashes which'll happen if v consult one doctor n take appointment wit other doctor n kept on talkin abt their internal things.like she is specialized in tat this n al.she Didnt confirm tat m pregnant or not.bs a doctor she sld tell tat when a patient has missed her periods is it confirmed wit pregnancy or not.she told she herself is not confirmed wit my pregnancy after askin my symptoms.she asked my symptoms n i told it then she told its common symptoms in pregnancy n later again she was tellin tat she is not sure abt my pregnancy.gr she a doctor or wat.tat deepilA was not lookin like doctor only.she was talkin abt lot of tests n injection for acidity n al.but she cant confirm my pregnancy or wt?an old lady can check pulse n tell a person is pregnant or not.
this is the worst experience i've ever had in a hospital that too in a gynac speciality hospital.they tell themselves as a very good speciality thing but the hired doctors there r horrible.deepika.s is the worst ever doctor who dont know her profession.she came to the consulltation room where me n my husband were waiting n she called us to the reception n telling that she'll do the consultation only if there is emergency after making us wait for 3hours.i had positive result at home for pregnancy n went to confirm with her.she already took her consultation fees that too extra on sunday n near reception she is asking what is my problem?is this the way tto treat the patients.is she not a female or what?being a doc she started telling her ot's n she didnt've her lunch n she is not specialised in checking the pregnancy being a duty doctor.she didint confirm that m pregnant or not.instead she is telling me to take injections n stuff.once she tells its the pregnancy symptoms tat i've gastric n tiredness.n again she was tellin she dont know that m pregnant or not.this is a serious issue to be taken into consideration by the peeople in hospital.she was tellin abt the issues which 'll happen if i consult to one doc n take appointment with other doc.she was nonsence speaking abt internal n external uterus.is she a doc or wat?she never appeared as a doc
Since this discussion is about Cloud Nine, lemme also narrate my experience:
Apart from the feel-good factor, a strong sense of their highly commercialized operations, hit you at every aspect.
Before & during delivery:
Dr Prakash Kini - Always in a hurry, gets impatient when there is any delay, from nurse or patients & rarely makes anyone feel comfortable.. Its an everyday job for these doctors but that doesn't mean you carry on with your 'business' like you're doing a favour to the world. You pay 500 for each consultation & he does what? Makes you get on the weighing scale ASAP & checks the fetus' heartbeat in a jiffy. No free information unless asked.. NEXT !!
Citing the WHO report here, on increasing no of C-sections in India due to commercial reasons, he too highly recommends it & if asked gives silly reasons as to why we cant go for normal delivery
Eg. 15 days before the due date he says that the mucous plug still hasn't come-off so we may not be able to go ahead with normal. Of course, it comes-off only during labour pain, which we knew only on the day of Delivery.
During labour, a couple seeks their doctors presence for moral support if its their 1st time.. at least 1 visit by him earlier, would've made us comfortable during the labour. He was called many times by the nurses but he came last moment, finished & left within 15 mins.
Neo-natology:
Dr Kishore (MD, CloudNine) - He seems nice to talk to / most comfortable to interact... but again highly commercialized nevertheless. He stars with a list of various optional vaccinations & gives you brochures to go through stuff you cant understand in the 1st place & don't want to take chances. Even if you do, how will you know what is to be administered from the 6-7 optional vaccines for preventing that chance of contracting that disease in India?
Doctors know that Mothers on the other hand, wont take chances & shall make even the most rational-minded husbands keep shut & do as the doctor says. "Why take that 0.1% chance", they blast us instead & make us go for all the available & recommended vaccines, naturally putting a smile on the MD's face.
Pediatrics:
Dr Kishore (MD, CloudNine) - Every interaction with Kishore Kumar (its been totally 3 yrs since birth) has seen us changing medicines for common cold/cough, which are usually available only in their pharmacy. Once its over, keep running around looking for the same brand in min 5-6 stores OR go back to C9 to buy the same. Why? Do you get extra benefits from new medicine launches that you ignore established brands, experiment on our kids & make us run around the 'market'?
Also, he will usually keep a tab permanently open of a website where he constantly not only educates himself but also for us.. Its good as a cross-reference, but constant reference to websites in all matters, makes us nervous.. For me, a doctor must be sure of everything he communicates. We cannot blame the website if his reference & our understanding goes wrong, can we ?
Moral of the story - All of them must have started right in the initial phase of their lives.. But commercialization hasn't spared this sacred profession also. The more well-known & experienced doctor, the shorter their consultation timings in such, well-advertised hospitals.. recommend that you go to their pvt clinics instead & just deliver in C9 for a good experience
