I went to Dubai for a week and on the way back I got a LCD TV ,for which i was carrying a bill which was in my husbands name so at customs I was told to pay duty of Rs9000 cost of my TV is Rs 27000, when i told them I have the bill they said bill should have been on my name when I insisted that 9000was a big amount they said rules are rules i have to pay ,but on my request they came down to 4000Rs ,i payed 4000 Rs and asked for receipt the customs lady took the money and told me to leave.
I came on 21 APRIL 2012 from DUBAI BY EMIRATES FLIGHT NO EK566 AT 6 PM
THE CUSTOMS LADY WAS AT COUNTER NO 2 ALONG WITH HIS IMMEDIATE SENIOR BUT I DONT REMEMBER THEIR NAMES.
kindly help me in this matter as the money went to costoms officers pocket in the name of duty i am feeling cheated. Was this information helpful? |
