SUBJECT: REFUND OF RS 14359 DEPOSITED ON 25 OCT 2011 AGAINST A WRONG WATER BILL.
Sir,
The undersigned is a consumer as defined under Consumer Protection Act-1986 as I take permission of water connection on 9/2/2010 and I have also informed DDA meter number-644351 and date of connection on 26 February 2010. All bills show this information.
I have made a payment of Rs 14359 against wrong bill no-118040, bill date[protected] for the period of February 2010 to[protected]. Meter show 30 unit on[protected] as written in bill. How is it possible to charged Rs14359 for 30 units?
I had given two complaints on dated: 04/01/2011 and 15/07/2011 for rectification of this bill but bill was not corrected. I have also file RTI on dated 15/07/2011 and then first appeal on 26/09/2011 and many emails to know the reason but again no sufficient answer received. I have full record with proof in this regard.
I have also submitted my electricity bill with applications to proof nil consumption of electricity.
This amount of bill is sending on assumption basis because meter reader not delivers the reading.
He was not visited the water meter regularly.
When I meet meter reader and force him to take reading properly then he takes reading is 4 unit shown in bill no 98418 bill date [protected] of amount Rs 16748.
Now you can understand Rs 16748 for just 4 unit consumption. How much wrong happened with me.
My connection is temporary so water charged will be three times of normal charges. That’s ok, but it cannot be on assumption basis.
The above said act on your part has caused me great loss and damage besides mental tension, trauma and inconvenience. You are hereby asked to refund the amount Rs.14359 deposited against wrong bill immediately within one week of receipt of this notice failing which the undersigned shall be free to launch legal proceedings against unfair practice and deficiency of services and shall seek the refund the amount already paid to you with interest and damages for which you shall be liable.
You may charge reasonable monthly rental charges and consumption charges according to consumption show in water meter as shows in bills.
I am enclosing electricity bill as proof of nil consumption of the subjected period.
