I send on 11th Dec by speed post(Indian Post) a packet of documents to U.S.A. ,which needs to reach the recipient by 20th of december 2009.It has not reached till date. The number is fgn-SP MERCHANDISE EM[protected]IN.
The help number provided in the website of Indian post [protected],informed me that there is some disturbance in the US systems ,from 10/12/09,and therefore this delay.
When I asked why we were not informed at the outset about the situation, when this is happening from 10th dec. ,the "help line" WAS EXTREMELY ROOD'.!
I tried to trace the post online ,they are asking for BNPL ,which is not mentioned in the receipt..
Had I known about the situation earlier I would have thought of some other courier service. If the post is delivered later than 24th dec my purpose of sending the post gets lost.
I hope the matter will be looked into as soon as possible.I have spent about 1000rs to send the documents, and Indian Postal service can not afford to wash their hands off the responsibility of delivering the goods in time , when the other courier services are doing their job very well.
