Hi team,
I had shipped from fab India and the product size is too small for me. from the branded clothes it is 3xl fits me but in fab India clothes, the clothes which i received is of XL or 2xl size hence I wanted to return it.but now they are saying 300rs return charges per product. I have ordered two products and 600 RS return charges they are asking which is insane.

I had ordered furniture online and the delivery was delayed without any reason. there was partial delivery from the delivery agent Delhivery and I was asked to sign off that the complete delivery has been accepted. Since I refused to do this unethical action, they had taken back the parcel. I had called Fab India and cancelled the order and I have a written confirmation 12 days back that the order is cancelled and the refund will be processed in 7-10 days. It's been 12 days since then and I am yet to get a refund and no emails of mine are being answered. I need help to get my refund of 68000 Rs.

Hi, I made an online transaction to FAB INDIA website https://www.fabindia.com/shop/women-products On 05/08/22. The order total as I’ll attach in the dispute came to a a total of 12086 INR, and upon checkout they gave me the option if I’d like to be charged in Fijian dollar currency and they showed that it’s $361.090 FJD. But when I saw my bank transaction
History, it showed they had charged me 28296INR (which is 829.30 FJD) that’s more than double the amount in any exchange rate. And they charged me 361.90 USD instead of FJD. I had authorised my purchase made of $361.90FJD/12086INR, however I did not authorise that wrong amount this. I have additional attachments which I can sent on email with full order details and transaction history. Been emailing them past few days with no progressive replies. All they’re saying it’s domestic order with different currency exchange. It’s clearly a mistake on their end they charged me in wrong currency which is amounting to more than twice the value of my purchase.

I went to t. Nagar chennai shop of fabmart and selected a specific shirt (Color, design) i selected it. As he was folding i found a button missing. The shopkeeper pulled another that had another defect - it was a rejected piece with the sticker on it. On their assurance that they would replace if found with a problem. Surprised that rejected pieces find their way to the store! For the price they charge they must improve on quality checks that they totally lack. Customer be aware that they must check for defects. 'caveat emptor' (Means - buyer beware)

Whenever we purchase something online, we eagerly wait for its delivery and for the moment in which we are gonna wear it or to give it as a present to someone special. When the postmen reaches our door along with the product we have ordered, are emotions touch sky and we do feel special. Therefore i personally believe that with a cloth, our emotions are very much attached and i hope your business values are quite similar to my opinion and you are also committed to provide best to your customers.

But what i have observed after purchasing your product is somewhat different with your ideal customer practices. Therefore i want to bring into your kind notice what i have experienced after shopping with you...

On[protected], i have purchased a kurta (Cotton dobby half sleeves short kurta (Color=blue;size=40) from fab india as a birthday present to my father that he was going to wear on his birthday i. E. 1-may-2018. My order has reached my hometown on time after 2-3 days for shipping.
As a tradition of my family (Like many other indian families), we wash new clothes before wearing/using it therefore my mother has washed the kurta before its use by my father on his birthday. But after washing it, the color of that kurta has become fade. It has left its original color and its all beauty has vanished. This was my first experience of purchasing something online with fab india and my feedback is really worse. Because of the poor quality of your product, me and my family have suffered not only financially but also emotionally. None can now can fix any thing, the birthday is tomorrow and my surprise and the best part of the party has ruined and my father will wear some of his old clothes on his special day and everything that has happened only because of the poor quality of your products. You people has really ruined this. Sorry but i have to say that when we, middle class people buy such expensive clothes, we trust you people, we trust you for the best quality and crm (Customer relationship management). After my first experience, all i can say that one should not rely you and the quality of your products if he has planned something special.

After all this, one thing is assured that i am not going to wear and purchase anything again from fab india, and also will not recommend your product to any of my friends and enemies also.
I had purchased a Kurti worth 2k from sahakarnagar store Bangalore, only e wear and there is bobbling on it. I want replacement for the Kurti. I have kurti's Which are far more cheap (cost wise) and they are still in very good condition. I don't expect this from a brand like Fab India.

I purchased 3 items of clothing. I received an e-mail stating the items were in transit. Then i received an e-mail saying two items were unavailable. I only received one item and only part refunded for the other items - losing over$100.00. I tried several times to contact fabindia. They tried to stall my requests for a full refund. They have a phone number that said disconnected when i tried ringing them. I am still waiting for the refund. I cannot get through to anyone now by e-mail. I think i have been blocked. I cannot recommend them and if there was zero stars would be accurate.

I'm a regular customer of fabindia and i'm an architect. I give atleast five business to them every month in the form of clothes, furniture, fabric, gifts etc.. I go to indiranagar showroom which they tell that is their biggest in bangalore.. First three and half years they had gud people and were gud in dealings.. Since past 6months the management in cmh road indiranagar seems to be very unprofessional.. Sales people are dump and they donno the pricing specifications and availability.. They just waste customers valuable time.. Especially if designers go, they do selections and it takes lot of time to do that.. Every hour of an architect is valuable. They never respect that. Last week i went there.. Took time and selected things.. Spent three hours. Sales guy never responded.. Then i asked about availability and he is telling some are out of production.. Done will take 22days. And some will not match specifications.. He shud have told this befire than wasting my time.. I reselected all.. Then he is telling that i have to go to other fabindia store to get it... These guys now who operate in indiranagar cmh road are highly unprofessional and donno anything about the product.. Even to cordinate with tailor they have no clue about the dimensions of their own fabric.. I donno why fabindia is posting such dump people.. Also as an architect if i compare fabindia price per square feel of a curtain, it's equivalent or mare than laying italian marble of superior quality in floor.. They charge bomb on all materials and customers give money without any knowledge.. They tells they do asked if 8lakh per day in this store.. But they never treat customers properly. For them customers are fools.. This us very very bad attitude especially this store.. I later went to fabindia store in koramangala.. They were just awsome and do cooperative.. Also fabindia shuffle gud people which makescustoners to establish a gud contact.. When they shuffle good prople they bring dump people... This is all related to cmh store.. As customers it's time to thing if it's really worth giving money to these guys without servicing customers properly..

I had ordered a trousers online from fabindia.com. Order number - 6062708. I was not happy with the product fit and therefore requested a return for the same.

Fabindia has a 10 days return window from the date of delivery. The product was delivered to me on nov 13th, 2017. As i was out of town, so was not in a position to place the return. I therefore placed the return request on nov 26th, 2017. (On the same day of my arrival).

Fabindia team is not customer freindly. I am dissatisfied as i have explained to them by writing so many emails and have requested to consider my genuine reason. However, to my surprise, they are adamant. They are being rigid by stating that i have exceeded the return window!!!

What about my money that i have paid for a product which is not even correct by fit???

So, i need my refund in my account.

I ordered 5 pieces of merchandise from their site totalling to Rs.15, 000. I received the merchandise on time. but the quality of the material was worst. their website spoek about cotton and silk but the material used was of cheap quality. Hence I immediately informed their customer care that i want to retun the materials. Once I infiormed them the customer care went dead no repliers to my emails. their call center is full of jokers who get are there because they are qualified being 'useless' for anything and paid cheap. Plus they always have excuses for not collecting the merchandise back.

After a weeks time i get email from fabindia that my complaint has been resolved!! I was wondering without collecitng the merchandise back and refunding my monies how can they close my complaint?

After few nasty calls and emails i compelled them to collect the clothes.

now I am running after them for refunds. yesterday they refund the cost of one of the clothe piece i returned and again they send the same emaik stating that my complaint has been closed!!!

it gives me a feeling that fabindia is being promoted and run by sick people who need special medication. they get pleasure by irritating their own customers.

I am a legal professional and I know how to make them repay my money but I wonder about general public who will be cheated openly by fabindia.

MY ADVISE IS DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. ONCE YOUR MONEY REACHES THEM, FABINDIA BECOMES YOUR BOSS AND STARTS DICTATING TERMS.

Steps followed by Fab India Staff (Jaipur) to handle my complaint:
                        1. Do not listen to the customer.
                        2. Try to blame the customer for the product fault.
                        3. Even if it fades after the first wash, then also it is customer's responsibility as the product was fine while purchasing.
                        4. Be rude to the customer as much as possible so he himself runs away and the staff doesn't have to go through the hassle of handling the complaint.
                        5. Go to the store from where you have purchased it - so if I have purchased the cloth from a city where I had gone for some family function, then I have to again go there only to get it exchanged.

I don't have the invoice of the product as I had purchased it some 1year back from Delhi but never got the chance to wear it till now, but before wearing it now I thought to wash it as several people might have tried it before I bought. I washed it in cold water by hand and it faded from the front at a particular area and some orange colored spots appeared on the front and the back side. But Fab India staff is not ready to listen to my complaint only, instead are trying to prove that I am at fault and have worn the kurta and these spots are stains of something.
Since I haven't done a Phd. in "clothing technology" I don't know the reason why it happened which the staff kept asking. I tried to explain 3-4 times the issue but the staff behaved with me as if I don't have any other work in my life other then finding faults in their products.
I have been a loyal customer with fab india till now and I hope the company takes appropriate action for not loosing a loyal customer.
Also I am in Jaipur right now at my home town for Diwali but I work in Mumbai.

My complaint is that FAB INDIA (www.fabindia.com) failed to deliver all the 35, 000 rupees furniture ( BILL NO: PI/BOMNH/032014/923; TX/BOMNH/032014/23900; PI/BOMNH/032014/921) that i bought from their 18th Road, Khar, Mumbai showroom last month. On top of it they were not answering calls to their store and store manager Dheeraj is not available when i visit the store to raise the issue. While the delivery receipts ( KHAR CHALAN NO: 225) clearly shows that all the billed material are not delivered by Fab India Overseas Pvt. Ltd. even after a week of raising the complaint by visiting the store nobody from the company had the courtesy to get in touch with me to sort this out. I can only imagine if this is the experience from an on-store purchase how horrible will be experience of an online transaction through www.Fabindia.com. I am sure that this was not the idea John Bissell or Ford Foundation had in mind in terms of customer service when the company was started. This also makes me wonder about all the claims that Fab India Overseas Ltd. makes on rural employment and sustainable livelihood. If you cannot do simple things like delivering things that a customer has paid for, or cannot at least call him back after he calls on phone and visit the store to complain about non delivery how are you going to do bigger things like uplift a community? Can some body advise me on with whom i can get in touch at Fab India to sort this out?

Fab India folks got in touch with me and apologised for this incident. From what they are telling me this is a one-off incident on an otherwise unblemished record of services. So as far as I am concerned this is resolved. Thank you, www.Consumercomplaints.in.

FabIndia is still running a competition on Facebook with deadline as 28 May'2012 10 am.

They suddenly decided to call off the competition and declare a winner before announced deadline.

They just updated with a status message on their home page.

Such a behaviour amounts to cheating.

Totally unfair and unprofessional behaviour from Fab India.

Whole competition appears to be a con.

                              Address: Ernakulam, Kerala

Wanted to pen down a very unfortunate incident that happened today at one of the FabIndia outlets in Cochin.Happened to visit the Fab India store last week to pick up some kurtas. Of the lot I picked up; one was a piece with some discount on it .. upon enquiry.. i was informed that the discount was set for the pattern and there was no damage..

I had not tried them on and since I only wear your brand (size medium),, I was almost sure it would fit me.. However, I specifically asked the boy there that if I had a concern with any of the ones I picked up..he informed me I could bring it back within a month. Well the discounted piece in spite of being labeled as “Medium” was actually a little tight . (All the other Mediums fit me perfect & never had an issue till date). - a wrong sized item sold.. & further service denied.I approached your Store @ Oberon Mall, Cochin today & informed the Manager (male) about it and he just said: it can’t be exchanged.. when i asked him y .he said its discounted.. .. Well bosss.. I had specifically asked this at the time of purchase and was informed to bring it within a month for which he replied.. no way..can’t be done..
So whoever is reading this mail.. let me tell you.. been a regular loyal customer to your stores at Cochin, TVM & Dubai and let me say this experience has really let me down.. I even told that guy that ive visited his store a million times and bought stuff worth a fortune and can’t you at least give me a proper service or at least standby a statement that was made by your own store exec..

I vouch never to visit Fabndia ever again and let me ask you..was this my reward for being brand loyal.. ??? its been a truly disheartening experience,, and all this pain for something that costs Rs. 500/-.. which are peanuts when compared to the revenue I gave you guys. Well this “discounted” piece would lie in my wardrobe definitely as a useless piece.. but would carry a painful experience behind it.. something worth sharing with family & friends.

Complaint mails already sent to theFabIndia team.. which they never bothered to respons..

                              kindly assist.

this is addressed to FAB INDIA Management...

I had gone to the fabindia store in bhopal and made a purchase of towels and bedspreads. the tag on the towel showed the price as Rs. 375/- " Towel Jac Haseena Cotton Blue Large" with a tag identity "A3AEAADFAC8QAABAG9G7" and tag no. 18427.0. however when i made the purchase i noticed that the price on the bill was Rs. 410/- !

When i brought this to the notice of the lady sitting there she started shouting at the top of her voice and told me very rudely that i should not question anything!!!

i was also told that whatever bill i had been given was final and no changes including returns will be entertained and i could " do whatever i wish" and that she didnt care about anything!

i went to fabindia because of the brand value and the product quality but i had a horrible experience. are your franchisees(?) trained to behave in this manner with customers?

when the tag showed a price of Rs. 375/- why was i charged Rs. 410/- for the same? (i have the tag and bill to prove this)
does your employee/franchisee have any right to behave with me or any customer like this??

what action does your company management contemplate to take against this erring employee/franchisee??
do you have a complaint cell?
how do you handle complaints from your customers?

what steps are initiated if these complaints are not addressed?

do you instill a sense of responsibility in your employess/franchisee to ensure customer satisfaction or you have enough customers and are not bothered about losing one???

does a customer have a right to question discrepancy in a bill or not??

are your employees aware of consumer rights??
does your company believe in consumer rights??

i hope you take appropriate action and reply to my questions???

                                regards

I had been to Fab India stores at Mangalore-EmpireMall on 8Sept2009 in order to exchange one of the kurta which i recently bought from there. Inspite of me being regular customer, the staff at the stores behaved very rudely and were not at all co-operative.This is not the first instance or lone case, my other friends who are also the customers of Fab India-Mangalore, have faced similar rude behaviour and had unpleasant experience.
We as Customers expect minimal decency and courtesy from the staff members.
I got 2 shawls from fab india at Oberon mall, cochin. I wanted to exchange one shawl. So i brought it back the very previous day morning itself. But the Lady there was so arrongant and she said 'exchanging of shawls is against our rules and if at all u want to exchange u should take prior apponintments'.So i told her that i will call her & take apponiment and come back. But she very rudely told me that even if i take apponiment she wont exchange it.

I really wonder what is the problem in exchanging a totally unused thing to a customer. And more than that customers expect some decency and courtesy from the staff members. I am a very regular customer of Fab India, not just in cochin but to most of the Fab india's in the country right from my college days.(wherever i travel)

This is the end of a loyal customer to Fab India.& more than that i will inform all my friends through mails & whatever means to stop their purcahses from this very customer un-friendly shop.
Looking at all these complaints I am convinced that there is no value for money. We are being taken for a fab ride ! Which is the government department we must complain ? Do they not have checks ?
File complaint in consumer forum for compensation.

I bought a red cotton dupatta from Fab India, in N Block Greater Kailash market. I wore it over an expensive white kurta, with all over embroidery. The color fastness was SO bad, that even though the dupatta was not wet, the color rubbed all over the white kurta. I took the dupatta back to Fab India, they realized how bad the dyeing was, and promptly agreed to exchange it, and to get my kurta dry cleaned for me.

                                  Great so far.

I then got a call from them to say that the kurta had been drycleaned. I went back to Fab India to pick it up. The color was still on the kurta..nobody had checked to see if it had been removed.

So then they offered to dry clean it for me a second time. I got a call from them to say it was now back from dry cleaning. I asked them to open it and check if the color had actually come off. They confirmed it had.

I went into Fab India yet again, only to find that the color was still on the kurta. I sent for their manager, a lady called Radhika, who explained to me that she had seen the color, but thought that I could wear the kurta as it was...stains and all!!!

I refused, and she offered me Rs. 500 as compensation..for a fully embroidered kurta. I refused, left her my phone number, and left the kurta with her. She then called me back and offered me Rs.1, 000. I refused again. And the stained kurta is still with her. It cost me Rs. 4, 000. I have not heard from her again, and I have not gone back to Fab India again.

The purpose of this complaint is to highlight the following:

The color that FAB India uses for their dyes is of poor quality. I have had a few kurtas bleed color in the wash in the past, but this is the limit, when the color is so poor that it just rubs off.

The sensitivity of a manager, who is in the fashion business, who expects a customer to wear a stained garment.

A similar issue happened with me and the staff put the blame on me and even humiliated me when I went back for a replacement. Such arrogance, attitude I have not seen in any store anywhere. I am talking about the stores in Bangalore, especially Garuda Mall, Indiranagar in Bangalore.
