[Resolved]  Gemological Identification Laboratory — making fraud & fake ged certificates

There a so-called Gem testing laboratory, GEMOLOGICAL IDENTIFICATION LABORATORY(GIL), at 40, Burtolla Street, Kolkata-7, run by some non technical persons. They have only technique of printing cards and they are making Gem & Diamond certificate of any brand & of any grading. Even they do not hesitate to say over phone that they will make the testing card of any brand or any laboratory. I purchased a diamond jewellery certified by this lab(so called), whose diamonds, as per their certificate, are VS1-VS2. When I Show my jewellery to one of my friend, who have some idea about diamonds, ho told me that the diamonds are of much lower grade than that mentioned in the card. I then went to another Lab for the grading of my diamonds. It is I 3 diamonds.
I then contacted the (so called) lab and introduce myself as a seller of gem & diamonds. I asked them, if they can make certificate of my gems & diamonds with upgraded grading. The person over the phone easily accepted the case and was ready to make the certificate of any grade as per my choice. And I was astonished when he became ready to make a certificate of any other authentic lab like IGI or EGL. I, then visited at 40,Burtolla St. Anitabh Gupta(Dabbu), Rahul Gupta, Basu and one other person were there. They have shown me the card of different laboratories and were ready to make certificate as per my choice.
This type of Laboratories(so called) are not only misguiding traders but also doing a BIG FRAUD with common people. As a victim of Gemological Identification Laboratory (GIL), I shall suggest every person, not to purchase any Gem or Jewelley certified from GIL and confirm from the LAB, whose certificate is produced, that whether it is relly tested and certified from that lab or not, because GIL type of frauds are making certificate of any brand. Beware of these concerns.
Authorities must took appropriate steps against them.
