[Resolved]  GM INdia - Chevy Spark — Poor Customer Service

hi, I bought Spark from Bellad Motors Hubli. And they said I will get some Corporate Discount and some free gifts as part of booking. Sales guy said GM company will give you. but no luck. Since from 3months I called around 23 times to 30308080. No responce. I decided not to have any car from GM now onwards.
Service Call no is 15582.

General Motors Chevrolet Spark — Poorest customer service

I own Chevrolet Spark Car , i purchased in 3 years warranty , before two years
That was my bad fate , the following are the issues i faced

1. Every time , i go for service some major spare failure and replacement
2. space will not be available , and at least 1 month ( 4 services ), the car will be parked state , this time two months
3. Pondicherry service center akash motors , took my spare and placed in another car in front of my eyes
4. sundaram motors , is helpless in spares , they throw the ball to GM
5. GM the worst ever visibility a customer can get to escalate
6. only you can send email to gmi.[protected]@gm.com, but no response will come
7. you can call to [protected] - First three lines for sales ( new revenue generation ) , last two for complaints , but last two lines will automatically get disconnected ( options 1-1-4-1 , 1-1-5 )
8. All the executives will tell thier names as Amith , very tough to call back and track . Every one will commit , they will respond back , before close of business hours , almost 13 times i reached them , not even single time i got response
9. I request to raise a complaint on these customer service issues , Executive refused to raise a complaint , and says no option for this .
10. You can do nothing and no process visibility for customers , if by GOD's grace car runs fine , then ok , Else gone case ...You will be really HELPLESS
11. i would strongly recommend never buy GM cars in india as a customer

I purchased CHEVROLET Spark with the intention that you guys may provide mind blowing After sale Service with the Tag line of “ CHEVROLET PROMISE “
Since the current situation in Kashmir is quite disturbed I went many times to the above Authorized Dealer for the 1st Service, but unfortunately I never got through till today 09/05/2010 morning 10:00 AM.
The Service Engineer named Ashiq Hussain who prepared the Job card informed that the car will be ready for delivery by 5:00 PM
I informed him that we are facing certain issues with car like the Hand Break was not working properly, Child Lock Door does not function Quiet Well.
More over at the time of Original Car Delivery the Bonnet had a minor Dent which they promised will fix during the first service visit.
I never knew that opting for CHEVROLET SPARK will be worse than a nightmare.
As I was informed by Service Engineer named Ashiq Hussain that I need to call him 1hr prior to the delivery, I called and was informed that the car is complete, I booked taxi to bring my car back home, but was surprised to find that the car has been completely untouched by and Engineer out there.
On enquiring they informed that the Car could not be serviced as the works went on Strike.
As a Customer how can CHEVROLET think that I will believe in such a lame excuse, even if it is true isn’t it the DUTY OF CHEVROLET to KEEP THE CUSTOMER INFORMED about the status of the car.
I am attaching the scanned Job card as well as some other photograph of your esteemed Authorized Dealer who was washing Maruti Suzuki Alto on the Ramp of CHEVROLET. How can an employee of CHEVROLET wash and service Maruti Suzuki Alto without even looking at CHEVROLET SPARK which has been lying with CHEVROLET Engineers since Morning 10:00 AM
I spoke with the Managing Director there and I found him to be extremely helpless and incompetent.
The worst Customer experience didn’t end there, When I took the photograph of Maruti Suzuki Alto being washed one of Your employee wearing the CHEVROLET Shirt Physically tried to manhandle me and wanted to destroy my Camera.
I lost my complete Day with no productivity by the end of the day.
Please take the car back refund me my all money, I am completely dissatisfied with CHEVROLET PROMISE.
I will make it sure to spread the word of mouth about the ill treatment I received at CHEVROLET Authorized Sale and Service Station.
I sincerely hope that CHEVROLET head office will look into the matter and provide me some justice.

My vehicle number is TN22BJ 1714 chevrolet beat LT model.The vehicle got a dent in the right hand side doors on 4/10/10 on chennai.I informed on 5th to KLN motos Eekattuthangal branch for rectifying the defect by invoking the insurance claim.They told the vehicle will be taken only on on 7/10/10 only.But the driver came on 7th without necessary insurance claim papers on 8/10/10 the vehicle was taken with an assurance that the vehicle will be returned within 4 days after rectifying the damage.After that there was no communication till 12/10/10.On 12/10/10 i enquired about the vehicle to the driver who has taken the vehicle gave the number of Mr.Karthik but the number was found no reply.Then the driver gave the number of Michael [protected].when i enquired he assured that the vehicle will be delivered before 15/10/10.I told that the vehicle is the must for my work that is on 16th and 17th if the vehicle cannot be delivered within the date i told to return the vehicle on 13th itself.I waited till 15th evening 4 o clock but there was no communication from anybody.when i enquired he informed all the staffs hd gone in the afternoon and he was helpless and he gave me the 24hr complaint number[protected].i booked a complaint the complaint on the same day and my complaint number is 19885. After that ther ewas no communication from anybody.On 19th morning i contacted GM Mr.Kumar and told my complaints.On the same day evening the vehicle was returned after laps of 12 days.
In the above circumstances i want to know
1.After taking the vehicle for the repair no responsible people have contacted either phone or a msg about the condition of the vehicle.
2.But i tried more than 20 calls to all the people to get the information about the vehicle.
3.On 12th oct i told particularly to deliver the vehicle without attending the fault on tha same date to go for function.Not only he failed to deliver the vehicle but also forgotten to inform the same. That shows inability of the company.
4.Even after registering the complaint nobody asked about the closure of the complaint number 19885 .I mentioned about the delay after 12 days in the delivery sheet but nobody has bothered and talked about it.
5.Because of the undue delay i diploid the other transportation for my business purpose and incurred loss of 10, 000 rs and also the vehicle was not in the house during the function which mentally disturbed me.I request your goodself to go in detail about my nature of my complaint and the irresponsible behaviour of the staffs in dealing the customers.I hope necessary corrective action will be taken and due compliance.

I have purchased a Chevrolet Beat L.T. from your Goregaon showroom on 11th August 2010. I had already faced a major problem at the time of delivery of my car due to mistakes committed by your learned sales man Mr Pradeep. Further he seems to be making false claims for selling the car .

1st False claim made : It was assured by your learned sales man Mr Pradeep that my Registration Book will be delivered within 30-45 days at my address, but the same has not been delivered yet, and now when I have on my own enquired for the same he has started talking on a different note that I will have to get it collected personally. To your knowledge almost 80 days have passed since the delivery of my car but no such book has been delivered to me yet.

2ND False claim made : At the point of sales I was sold a policy for additional maintenance for Rs 13, 500/- by stating that all parts and services for a period of three years will be absolutely free. Now the tail light of my car has got damaged and when I called up the service station for repair I have been informed that I will have to make some payment for replacement of the same. At the time of selling me such policy I was told that for any damage to my car for three years after taking that policy I will not have to shell out any money, but unfortunately this claim made by your learned salesman is utter false.

Also to add to my agony I was been the told that the relevant booklet of the policy will be sent to my address within a month’s time which I still await desperately.

3RD False claim made : I was been informed about some real good average of the car but my car responds to a poor average of less than 8 kmpl, as against 16-18 kmpl as shown in the brochure. Also the car has a very poor pickup and even on small cliff the car turns into a snail and shows no power at all, which has resulted into breakage of my tail light and damage to my bumper.

I don’t know which further explanations given to me at the time of sales will hold true in future, but it seems that it will make me and my friends deterrent to buy hence forth a reputed brand like Chevrolet - General Motors from your dealer ship outlets.
Also I would really like to pursue the matter with the esteemed brand so that their brand image is not tarnished by dealers and also with appropriate government authorities so that customers like me do-not feel cheated.

I recently bought a Chevy Beat from S.C.Auto, Thane. From my harrowing experience, I would like to give all prospective buyers one suggestion.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY CHEVROLET CARS FROM S.C.AUTO THANE.

Reasons:
- Poor customer service
- Pathetic follow up
- False Promises
- Care-a-damn attitude of the Staff and well as management towards customers

I wonder how they manage to survive in this age when customers demand service!

I have also facing the same proble which kasiviswanathan faces, with the same people. karthick and Michel, at kln motors ekkaduthangal.chennai. I feel that the person karthick and michel are unfit for this job and both doesnt have any shame to give un professional answers. atleast Mr kasi got in 12 days iam following them for nearly 25 days for the accident work and after that they have stoled my stepny and tool kit box for which they gave me an worn out stepny and tool kit not received for this iam following them for 40 days . I gave the vehicle on 27 oct 10 i received my vehicle on 20/11/10 and till today 14/12/10 i am following them for the tire and tool kit. even i complained to gm the comp no is 20732. iam sure that till these two persons works every customer will suffer and will definitely tarnish the image of General Motors. In my company itself 3 persons who got the vehicle after my referance is having the problem with these two guys. I really feel embraaased for referring gm.

one YUVA car bought on april 4 th 2008.both from your showroom in Kannur, Kerala
YUVA has 3 year free service offer .which will be over on april 4 this year.
today i 've kept YUVA for service but to my suprice they are asking for service charge!! they say the invoice was made om 31 st march!!!, (this thay are doing for getting their target in that financil year without out knoledge!! the car was delivered only on 4 th april)
they never remind us regarding the date of service!! this happened to my captiva also for 6 month service !!
its really sad and shameul from ur side i[censored]r service is like this to a personwho has 2 chevi cars!!

I have got repaired and serviced my SPARK RJ 14 CH 4018 at your service station Sitapura, Jaipur. The car was handed over to service station on 13-5-11 and delivered to me on 18-5-11 without washing and cleaning and checks at 8.00PM. The repair work was also not satisfactory. I was not delivered the car on the stipulated time and I have to stay at service station for 4 hours. There was no responsible person to listen my complaint. As a result I found that the one of the rear doors of the car was not opening. I again contact on the phone no. of the workshop. I was replied that I have to go there if I want to checked it and no responsibiity was taken up. The workshop is away bout 20 KMs form the city and this type of complaints have hapenned many times berfore. Kindly persue the matter.

I believe Chevrloet/GM are not keeping track of how their dealerships are handling/harrasing customers. If they don't do anything about this soon, its going to further impact their brand image and declining sales numbers in India. It's also dented the image i earlier had of GM cars being sturdy and good value for money in the long run.

My expereince has ensured that at least 4 of my friends/colleagues who were planning to buy a car did not even consider GM. Not that i needed to spend much time convincing them after they had sen my frequent visits to the various workshops.

I had bought an Aveo LS in 2008 and after the first three servicings, realized that the Shiva Motors service center in Noida was doing a shoddy job (the car was untidy from the inside and under the bonnet after the servicing). I then shifted to Carnation for regular servicing. Some problem emerged with the sensors (the ignition would switch off while in neutral sometimes) and the Carnation guys themselves asked me to visit a specialist GM center. There is no option in Noida so i went back to Shiva Motors. The customer officer told me that the sensors had to be cleaned and the problem would go away. I was charged 9k for this and a few other petty things. Within a few days, the problem recurred. I called up the GM guy to inform him and he said that nothing could be done and the sensors would need to be changed. I thought i will take the card for checkup on the weekend but within 3-4 days of this conversation my car got overheated and the engine seized (as per the engineer who saw it later) on my way back to office. The engine had never heated in 3 years of driving the card and how it did within a week of visiting the service center beats me... I spent another 70k to get this done (again at shiva motors for want of options), and within another 12 days, there was starting trouble. This time there was a problem with "bendex"- a mechanical device related to ignition probable... i spent another 3k. And then yesterday (within 5 days of last visit), while i was on my way to the hospital (my wife was not well), the card started shivering and making a noise. I parked on the side and called a mechanic i know for over 10 years (it was 9:30 in the night). He was not carrying any tools. He just opened the bonnet, checked from under the car and came out with a loose belt and a pulley (all within 5 minutes). Apprently, the mechnics had not tightened it properly.

I am feeling cheated, frsutrated and harrassed and am planning to take this up at consumer court. But first need to bring this to the notice of a senior ooficial at GM India.

Just wanted to tell everyone about the Mr. Bansal -Vasant Kunj, New Delhi Dealer.
He is one of the most pathetic, no professional attitude, don't know anything about car, he is simply disgusting, & he is working there i suppose from last 10 years. I just went there for some info on my Spark car, as i come to know some defeats in my new car which i bought in Dec 2010.
This shameless person is not even ready to listen and started shouting, though i wanted to know some information dats it. He is simply useless.
Chevrolet as a brand, how can they appoint people like this.
After 8 months, cpco booklet, which i have not received, instead of telling me with whom i can speak, he is shouting on me. What the hell he think he is.

Can anyone tel me where i can complaint about this . He should be fired.

I have submit the three cheques No.'s are 76535/76536/76537 Axis Bank in favour of your Saharanpur dealer DPM Auto Sales, on dated 20//05/2011. I have chosen the Beat LSLPG model not booked. I have try to financing some banks but the bankers not finance to me. I have also try some bank to finance me the rest payment.Because there are three Cheques are for three customers include to me. The other two customers want the refund.We are the Achievers in Company Rs. 1, 25, 000/- each. The total sum Rs. 3, 75, 000/-. I have contact your dealer DPM Saharnpur/Dehdarun to refund the two customer payment, which was submitted by me to your dealer, but your Accountant Mr. Ajay Sharma (Accountant) asked to me that our Owner are abroad so, the payment will be relaesd after one week. After the week I have contact to them Mr. Sharma said in the end of this week I have refund your payment. But I have contact today they answer that our owner go abroad for one week so, your balance refund will be owner coming in India. Sir, I assure you that I will be purchased Beat Model earlier from your Showroom after clearance the Bankers financing The rest of amount Rs. 2, 75, 000/- refund to me at the earliest.

GM, chevrolet — Creating Bills when car went to service entre

I take my car to Chevrolet - Spark for Service the so called Technical Advisor - Vinod assigned for our tasks, explained all the issues to him and after one day he does his job and printed a very beautiful bill of Rs. 9500 in which he replaced the barring of Rs. 5000 however after that when i drive i found the issues due to which he replaced the barring is still exists and the break is still not working same escalated to his work manager - Pathak ([protected]), re send the car to service station then again he does some work and printed one more bill explaining some other problem.....again when car given back to me was not working properly...third time send the car to them and they print one more bill .................... Pathetic service. Just creating money only..... assuming customer is fool..
Strict action should be taken against them...

I have purchased Spark LT on 6th Oct 2011 from Sigh Motors, Pune. They committed me that they will provide accessories in 2/3 days. After 12 days till now I have not recevied number plate yet. And for accessories they are giving me many reasons and posponding the dates.They are not picking the phone while calling. I am very frustrated due to the service and commetment from Singh Motors. Please look into it.

I bought Chevy Beat from KUN Automobiles, Kavdiguda, Secunderabad. I was having problem with vehicles suspension and alignment. When someone sits in the back seat suspension makes "karrr" noise. Guys at workshop say everything is good, i don't know why so ignorant.

Wrote a complaint in www.consumercourtforum.in. Someone called from Chevrolet and told one of this customer adviser would call me and will solve my problem. But, NOBODY called and on top of it my complaint from consumercourtforum.in was deleted. Deleting complaint from website does mean that they are guilty, whereas i could see other complaint are still there. Whatever it is, my problem is not solved.

i bought spark one year back. 2 months ( few days less) back got accident and in 2 months they cant repair. cause?? no one clear some times say parts not available, dont know when will get parts etc etc. first time in life experiencing so poor service. its horrible. All their saying about service is not true. in my openion no one should buy any GM motors cars. In service maruti is best.
