[Resolved]  Honda Assure — Arbitrary claim settlement - No grievance redressal mechanism

Address: South Delhi, Delhi

My Honda City (HR 26 BF 5608) met with an accident in Noida (Delhi NCR) on Sunday, 10th July 2011 wherein on a very busy and unruly Intersection my car was hit by a Tata 407 truck from drivers side while trying to make his way. My drivers side rear panel and both the doors were scratched and damaged. To take-off from the truck I turned sharp left wherein my front bumper (non-driver side) bruised with anther standing Wagon R car. Finally I had to turn sharp right and in this process the front bumper (driver side) bruised with the concrete roundabout structure of the junction.

The car was sent to M/s Classis Honda, Faridabad on Monday noon, 11 July 2011 and a surveyor named Sri Inder Sen inspected my vehicle after 6.00 PM on 11 July 2011. He cleared the repairs for the driver side rear panel and both the doors but rejected the bumper repair without assigning any valid reason or logic.

After learning from M/s Classic Honda (represented by Mr Hridesh) about the rejection of bumper repair, I spoke to Sri Inder Sen and explained the whole incident at the time of accident and the sequence of events (as the space provided in the claim form for narration of incident is too short to explain it in sufficient detail)

Sri Inder Sen did not even hear my complete narration, rejected the bumper claim without giving any reasons or logic and even refused to speak to me over telephone. To top it all, all along the process it seemed as if Honda Assure is not there in the picture and customer is left to sort it out with the insurer!

At the time of insurance purchase, we are told that the policy is from Honda Assure and you have not to bother about who is the insurance provider. But at the time of claims settlement, Honda is nowhere to be seen. This is only causing a dent to the image of otherwise reputable company like Honda Cars.

Absolutely agree. I haven't had an accident. These guys aren't even giving us the Terms & Conditions document to review. From the web you find that there's a site https://www.hondaassure.in/lv/login.aspx. But no one gives any information about how to login to that site ...
