Dear Sir,
SUB: Deficiency of service and poor quality of parts used which have failed in a fairly new car.
I wish to lodge a very strong complaint regarding my Honda City Iv Tec purchased from M/s. Arya Honda Mumbai on 06/3/2009. I had also taken an extended warranty which expired in March this year.
My frustration with Honda has reached its boiling point as my car had a failure of the power steering on Friday 21st June 2013. I sent my driver with the car to Arya Honda workshop at Lalbagh, Mumbai on Sunday 23rd June 2013, where I also have my annual maintenance contract with them since the beginning. On Sunday I was informed that it would take two days to detect the fault. Then on Monday 24th June 2013 I was again informed that it would take two more days. Then on Tuesday 25th June I was told that the ESP sensor and ABS parts would have to be ordered as there were only two available in India ie Noida & Kolkata and since I had no option I gave the go ahead to carry out the necessary repairs and on their suggestion also deposited Rs Fifteeen thousand the following day. Since the spares were not readily available it was suggested to bring the car back home which was done. I have been following up regularly with Arya Honda regarding the status of the spares and just yesterday I have been advised that it would take another two or three days for them to arrive. Today it is exactly two weeks since my car has become useless for me as it is inoperative and it cannot be risked driving the car with two major faults. From tomorrow morning the third week begins and I am terribly upset and disgusted with the state of affairs prevailing in Honda.
This begs several questions. How come a comparatively new car developed such faults? My son who was driving was lucky to have escaped a mishap as there was less traffic and he was taken aback as he had never experienced such a hard steering earlier. How and why Honda does not have a system of stocking spares in each metro at least. No inventory control does not be hove the company of your stature. Then why this inordinate delay? Who compensates me for the hardship that I have been subjected to, for no fault of mine and who compensates me for the financial loss in business which I have incurred? Why should I be made to pay for the expensive parts for their inferior quality for no fault of mine ? When can I have a perfectly working vehicle back with me, which has been under the care and maintenance of Arya Honda right from the beginning?
I am tempted to follow up legally and with the press also for this gross deficiency of service and inferior parts used. If I do not hear from you, then I shall presume that I am free to pursue the next course of action.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Mr Naushad Husain

Honda — damages after service
I had given my car Honda city S for service to Capital honda chenai where i had purchased on 13.6.2010. The honda company driver had taken the car from my residence for service. No remarks of damages about my stereo system was notified to me while taking the same but in the evening the car is back with damages display panel . The driver never informed me about noticable damage while taking but the company returned the car with remarks of damages of the panel , when asked for no proper response from Capital Honda and everyone wash off their hands saying it was previously damaged. The driver says that he noticed the same but never reported on the pickup sheet but on delivery says he saw the same before taking the car.My complaint to Honda on 16.6.2010 was replied by local engineer just telling me it was noticed when it came to the service station but once again the issue was raised the manager says the same that it was damaged on arrival .The car is self driven and sparingly used and done only 1700 kms in 3 months . Irresponsible reply from dealer irks the customer to the core
