I have enrolled in MCA program ( Distance learning program) in kolkata on july 2006 and from 2006 to
jan 2008 i have given 6 times exams but not passed. all time
they published exam marks which i think not correct , may be
intensionally made student failed so that they can earn exam
fees every time. They have taken the whole course fees of Rs. 54,000/- whereas other university/institution takes it
semiestarwise of 6 months and after completion of 1st semiestar
, they take the fees of 2nd semiestar. but ICFAI taken all
semiestar fees. They only spend for me that 8 books and one month class.
Can anyone help me so that i can get my money back. If ICFAI
want to deduct money from Rs. 54,000/- then also O.K. But I want some refund because I don't want to continue, may be
there standard is higher than calcutta university or sikkim manipal university etc. because some of my friends gone through final year of MCA program in sikkim manipal and there qualification and standard are more or less same like me.

Although I made mail to Dean of student service department regarding this matter but they not replied 2-3 times and finally
they replied not possible to refund.

Please someone help me ..... I can pay fees of consultation

You can file a complaint against these frauds at the International Consumer Rights Protection Council

Send in a simple test mail to [protected]@consumergrievance.com and within few minutes you will receive the procedure on how to file a complaint.

Good to see I am not the only one cheated by them. Same story, I have paid 6 instalments. I did not apply in any exam or class. Now they are harrasing to pay full fees even though I expressed them of not interested in continuing due to financial contraint.
Why not these people openly start robing, instead of fooling everyone like this.

ICFAI is the worst University. They charges huge amount for everything.
Rs 1000 for exams, Rs 100 per Question Paper, Rs 500 for Answer Paper review or re-check.
I paid Annual Fees of Rs 1000. After that they stopped collecting Annual Fees. As I have paid, shall I not expect the amount refunded to me. It seems like they wanted to earn some extra penny, so they collected that amount.I personally will take this step to let no one enroll in ICFAI for so called MBA. Those @ Krishna Building viz Anirban, Debjani don't know how to behave with students.
They have only Credit Card payment option while enrolling for exams. How many students have Credit Card?
The way they check Question Papers is PAINFUL.
They don't understand that it becomes a painful affair to pay so much to study MBA.
When I first took admission, I was not told about all those hidden charges. They are only concentrating in doing business & earning maximum profit. They are not at all interested in students's interests. They hardly look into our concerns. It is really getting hard to pay so much. We are not getting any help from this Dirty University.
Let us all unite together and shut the doors of ICFAI close and demand our money back.
I request everybody to help us from becoming bankrupt.
I also request Government of India to help us. We are not from a super rich family. We can't afford so much. PLEASE Help us.

ICFAI University — Money making model

I and my wife have enrolled in MBA in 2005 and We had been told that ICFAI has tie up with Indian consulate in USA and we can give exams in USA also. When I tried contacting indian consulate in USA, they clearly told that they don't have any tie with ICFAI university. When I contacted ICFAI back, they did not respond to my queries. Also after contacting them over phone, they were not ready to pay back any fees. I already paid them 1, 25, 000 Rs. Could you please let me know if there is any way we can get money back? I have all the details enrollment numbers, cheques given etc. in case required to file the case against them or proofs.

Why do we enroll into a program? Surely for its quality and coveted qualification. I am sure Icfai is fine example, for quality and content. Other issues you are referring to would not mean for those who are treading their path to success accurately, with utmost precision. Do think positively and zoom towards success.

Please file a writt against the university. Or send in a letter directly to the court of jurisdiction ICFAI comes under. The court may consider your letter on account of public of public interest and may order for an enquiry as this is an educational institution

I agree with your issue. But then send a request again to the Institute for refund of at least part of fee. I do not see the reason why the same cannot be acceded to. Do not get into legalities and rather settle the issue amicably.

Futher adding to the complaints that clearly depicts the image of ICFAI, i would like to draw everybody's attention towards the study material which they are providing. I have given my second group exams recently which includes subjects Organisational Behaviour & Business Economics. To my surprise it was shocking to see the style of paper they had put up in Business Economics which was like out of this world. The practical questions in the question paper and the one which they gave to us in study material was totally different, niether of the questions which i came across in the paper were there in the modal test papers nor they provide us with same. I think icfai is a crook as they aim in setting tough papers and by not providing sufficient study material to cover up same...i'll never ever recommend icfai to anybody.

If you find something is out of syllabus, why don’t you write direct to them quoting the question numbers. Please do write in immediately and highlight the issue.

I fully agree with you they are running a money making university their charges are huge in comparison to others.
