I have purchased a sim of idea yesterday about 4:30 PM.But unfortunately I Have lost my PUK code .
When I contacted customer care I have provided PUK[protected] and PUK[protected] but these codes did not match with my PUK code.Alash! I have only 2 chance to enter PUK codes.

    I want to register a complaint against IDEA Cellular for cheating its pre-paid customer and charging wrongly.

    Idea, VAS dept. may be in order to complete there targets wrongly activated dialer tone on my number and deducted Rs.30/- as charges. I tried calling Cust. Care No. but it doesn't works. Also they have no where mentioned on there website about how to deactivate the dialer tone, in the dialer tone section its only mentioned how to activate the dialer tone. This is an example of very bad customer service.

    I'm a student and can't afford to pay Rs.30/- for my limited budget of cell recharge. I strongly condemn this malpractice followed by idea for pre-paid customers.

    Idea — Malpractise followed by Idea

    Sir, I am idea user in M.P.since last 10 years. Recently on the occassion of
    Diwali, I had sent some SMS to my friends and relatives. When I received the
    bill today for this month, I was shocked to see the amount of SMS charges billed
    to me. Under my regular plan"Supreme 250", I am infomed that the SMS
    charges would be 0.49P per SMS. However, when I enquired today about such
    exorbitant amount, they informed me that the on festivals they would charge
    Rs.1.00 for local SMS and Rs.1.50 for outstation SMS. When I objected that they
    should preinform the customer about this, they argued that it is not necessary
    on their part to do so. They also declined to request to charge me for regular
    charges since they did not inform about these special festival charges earlier.
    I think this is malpractise adopted by IDEA. When they can send scores of SMS
    informing about launch of services in new area, new tariff plans etc., they can
    as well send one sms just before launch of special festive charges for SMS. I am
    sure about the practices followed by other service providers. I think TRAI
    should intervene in this matter and should provide the platform where consumers
    can directly complain to TRAI about these malpractices followed by these
    companies

      Dear Sir / Madam

      With due apologies for consuming your valuable moments.

      I had purchased Idea Sim Card from Karthik Collections at Marve Road, Malad West, Mumbai 400095. And at the time of purchasing the card the Shopkeeper explained the tariff plan as Idea to Idea network the cost will be 0.40 paise other network will be 0.60 paise and from 11.00 pm to 6.00 am Idea to Idea is free.

      So i purchased the card and asked for the bill from the shopkeeper he said that "iske bill nahi aata hain", so i took the card and started using the same. The same day i called round about 12.10 pm i called my relatives who are also using the Idea card but later on i found that my call charges are deducted which seems to free as explained by the shopkeeper. So very next day i called to the Idea Helpline and they provide me the information that the shopkeeper has provided me wrong information and my tariff plan is 0.60 paise to all network and from 11.00 pm to 6.00 am Idea to Idea is free. Imediately after talking to them around about 11.15 i called my relatives on Idea cell and after talking to them the message indicated that my last call charge was 0.60 paise which was deducted from my balance amount. So i again called the Idea Helpline and provided them the information that my money is being deducted they asked me to hold the line and told me that they dont have record of todays and the line got disconnected and after that i was facing network problem and i could not contact them.

      However today i tried the Idea Helpline number and today the provide me the information that My card does has such tariff plans and asked me to approach the shop from where i had purchased the card. And when i approached the shopkeepers he started talking rudely that this is not his look out that is companys lookout. I told the shopkeeper that i am going to Police Station to lodge the complaint so he is saying Jidar Jane ka hain wahan jaa police chowky jaa nahi toh mantri ke paas ja.

      I earnestly beg / solicit, your kind / judicious intervention and just decision.

        Hi,

        I have a prepaid account with idea and i am very upset with your constant promotional calls. I get approximately 50 calls a day and 30 messages. I activated the do not disturb option and was told that it will be activated within 24 hours but it did not happen. On contacting the customer service representatives I was spoken to very rudely.

        Yes, realy idea cellular is very very bad company, they speak extreamly rudly with their costmer thay think that they r only good S.P. i want to tell u that my idea sim is unable to divert its call to other num so i compleate abt it to CC bt they speak very roudly tat its a handset feature...hello? im nt a fool man. actuly it nt a handset feature its a sim feature u can ask abt it to any expert. they never agree with their misteck.

        they r very madarchod people, unki maa ki behan ki bhai aur pure family k gand maro salla, bhosadike wo bahot kamini company hai
        unki ma ki chud sala bahut hi gandi company hai

            BUT NOW COMPANY IS GIVING OTHER PLANS TO OTHER COMPANIES LIKE RENT Rs.149.00 FREE CUG AND 300 MINS FREE AIR TIME TO ANY LOCAL MOBILES,
            WE HAVE APPROACHED PERSON CONCERNED HERE IN LOCAL OFFICE, BUT THEY REFUSE TO REVISE OUR PLAN AND TALKED RUDELY, THEY DONT CARE OLD CLIENTS, AS WE ARE POSTPAID CLIENTS AND USING IDEA PHONE WITH SAME NUMBER SINCE BEGINING,

            I have taken IDEA 249 plan(CUG Free), at the time i took the plan i was told that all the idea numbers in ur campus will b free.Now they r charging me haeavily, also they r not providing me the scheme of 100 minutes local free n 75 minutes Std free.
            my seem card is closed becose of i was not useing before 1 year but now i want to again use my idea seem card so please can u do start my seem again thanks

              Hi Sir,

              I am using a prepaid Idea connection from last 4 years.Recently 5 months back I migrated from Prepaid to Postpaid.After the converting to Postpaid when I am trying to do outgoing firsttime my voice is not audible to the others.Approximately 300 calls were wasted monmthly.Till now I complaints the Customercare people but they haven't resolved the issue.And I asked the Next level of escalation manager number while I am trying to call to that number I am getting a message as Number is incorrect.
              Can you please look into this issue

                Dear sir,

                here I, g.upender reddy writing about Idea cellular,

                I am using the idea cellular service since 5 years onwords, I am getting the problem since 6 months onwords, every six months had a problem with idea. when i was try to compliant they told to me, you have to wait 3 months if you are using the full service, frequently call dropped and wrong calls, calls jumping.

                every day i got the problem NETWORK BUSY AND ALSO ERROR IN NETWORK CONNECTION.

                in this they do not do anything so what i want to do. they will not care about customer, they will collect service charge without service and we were loose money too.

                so please give me the right information.

                  I am an Idea Customer from past 4 years. I am using others number as well of same servise provider.
                  In Jan'09 they have aticated the Stock updates on my number automatically and then started charging me for the same with the amount Rs 49, When the bill arrived, i came to know that for this kind of services i was charged, i was getting messages for that, and i was really annoyed by daily messages, but i thought that might be they sending to all of idea users, since i have not availed any service. Even i was not informed by any message or anything that this kind of services you have activated, so that i can request for deactivate for the same, I am seriously very annoyed with the Idea Services.

                  If In the recession they are lacking by some money, dont charge from our customer in this way. And even from the customer care i was getting such a cold response, "Sir you have to pay the money", Since i always the pay the bill ontime, thats why i paid the bill, but i want the rembursement for that amount.

                  No one is listening to me. I know it's just a matter of 100rp, but i know i earn this money.
                  If anyone can help me, Please help me.

                        I have activated my GPRS plan of 499 on my Idea post paid connection. While activation, i was never informed that I will be charged as per usage and at the end o[censored]sage the sum will be deducted.
                        As per this kind of billing what happens is - my credit limit exceeds and my call barring will get barred till i donnot make the intern payment as per they demand.
                        Under this GPRS 499 plan I get 1GB net usage from the service provider.
                        If billing is done in this manner per kb which is 2p, which is Rs20 per Mb and then... 20, 000 per Gb - WHY AM I TO PAY THIS AMOUNT uncessarily when my plan is activated?
                        I spoke to the customer executive "Ganesh" - he said this is the way... upon request I wanted to speak to his manager - he did not give me the line and said your number has been forwarded and will not be asked to make an intern payment - upon repeated request I was able to talk to his manager "Hitesh" - who spoke in the utmost unproffessional manner and said this is the rule.

                        I am not able to get this - when a post paid plan is activated the monthly rent is charged at the end along with benefits like msgs and calls which are free with the plan - then why does it not apply with GPRS. Why should I being such a hefty amt when a plan has been activated?

                        I HAVE ACTNET 20 PLAN & I WANT TO RUN INTERNET ON MY PC VIA MY IDEA CHITCHAT CONNECTION. MY SYSTEM WINDOW IS XP. SO PLEASE WRITE THE PROCEDURE TO MY MAIL FOR THE ABOVE PURPOSE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
                        This is really very bad.
                        It needs to be resolved cause nobody will pay 20, 000Rs for 1GB GPRS use.

                        I think some action needs to be taken against these service providers who think they can handle their customers as they want. Their managers should also be fired for talking unprofessionally.

                        You are right Avni. I am also suffering with this senseless rule of Idea.
                        I have called Idea customer care (more than some 50 times), spoke to the managers and others, but of no use.

                        They say that this you will not be asked to pay the interim amount, but again they barr the services. This has become quite frequent last month.

                        I have spoken to another Manager, he assured that he will solve my problem for sure. And you know what, my Credit limit is 18000 now.

                        This means, now my calls wont be barred now, and I wont be asked to pay interim bills. What if I lose my phone? The Irony here is that they just find temporary solutions and dont ever try to get a permanent fix for these kind of long lasting issues.

                          hello,

                          i have idea prepaid. my current balance is -7 rs. 3 day before it was 0.00 rs.
                          everyday there is 2 to 3 rs. deducted in my balance. i inquire to customer care but they inform me i have and active gprs connection for that this happening to my account. i am trying to sending message for deactivation of gprs. but it fails.

                          do the needful immediately or i will withdraw this idea and go for other service provider.

                              I got my Idea connection in December. My first bill was due on 16th or 18th of Feb. Due to the odd timings of the night shift at my work it was impossible for me to visit an Idea store that is 8 kilometers away from my home. (The nearest one) I made my payment on 21st of Feb in the afternoon at around 12.15 PM. Just two days before that IDEA deactivated my outgoing messages and GPRS. After paying the bill my outgoing got deactivated at around 3.00 in the afternoon. I called up the CC and they got it activated in 15 minutes. Everything was OK to my knowledge until I tried to access my e-mail. My GPRS was not working. I called up the customer care on 24th afternoon and spoke to two people including one from GPRS desk. They said the services would be activated within two hours the maximum. Didn’t happen!! I called them again and they said it would take MAXIMUM of 4 hours to get it activated. Didn’t happen!! I called them again after more than four hours and again the same thing. It’s more than 4 hours and nothing done yet. When I asked the CC rep to transfer me to his superior he straight away denied it and asked me the reason for talking to him. I urged him for the same again and he kept me on hold for a long time and then says “My supervisor is busy and cannot take the call.” It’s been more than 12 hours since I made the first call to IDEA for my GPRS getting reactivated but in vain. The customer service rep thinks they are the king and not customers. This is the way they talk to their clients. I have lot of work that happens over the e-mail and to my distress I was not able to do it today just because IDEA customer service really didn’t felt like working.
                              I really want to talk to the Head of Customer Service and if someone could get this across to him it would be great.

                                    on 18th of Fef, 09 I have got a SMS from idea customer care regarding the unlimited calls brtween 11p.m. to 6 a.m. For the activation of this new tarrif plan we will have to dial *150*146hash and Rs. 146 will be deducted from our balance. since in this SMS neither it has been not metioned that this facility is only for local calls nor any T&C was applicable on the same, I expected that this new tarrif is for all the calls including the STD and I activated the same and Rs. 146 has been deducted from my balance. but when I made STD calls, the same were charged as per current tarrif plan.

                                    My concern is that when it was for local call only why it was not been mentioned clearly. when it has focused on 'calls' only, by default it is assumed that calls means any type of call whether it is idea to idea or it is local or it is STD. I think that their main motive to cheat and misguide the people.

                                    my complaint is that on 04/01/2010 I received a message from 580101 stating that Idea jobs service has been renewed and I have been charged Rs.30 for 30 days of service.But I don't know who told them to activate this service and to renew it.I doesn't require this service.If a remedy doesn't got I will opt for other mobile service providers.Hoping for an early response

Is always busy and on the chargeable number customer care officer try to expend the call duration. I had received SMS on 31/05/10 about the renewing voice chat sub charges Rs 15/month but I was not apply any voice chat when I contact to customer care many time on 500160 no. is busy then dial 12345 chargeable call to mr praveen at 9.20 pm he was try to expend my call and give un satisfactory answer after 10 to 12 minutes hold talk to mr hiralal (supervisor) he was also give unsatisfactory answer and not provide refrance no. Of complaint.
                                    i lost my mobile tonight and i want to lock my idea number postpaid number.i have another no of idea but its prepaid.i had three times talk to idea cust care officer he told me call him on postpaid no .

                                    when i have no any post paid number and i want to lock my number so what can i do its realllyyyy worst expercience of my last five year to use idea.

                                      lekin nsb idea ki jabalpur me formility survice center ko mr. sunil tiwari ke & vineet khurana ke nirdes par meri id ko posting karne se mana kardiya gaya jis se meri survice band ho gai
                                      mere request par bhi mera mobile chalu nahi kiya gaya 2 year se mere contact ko bahut nuksan ho raha hay idea ke dwara sim band kar dena survice nahi dena & uska balance ko japt karna anuchit hai
                                      & kisi bhi mobile dhari ko idea ke karmachari niyam ke birudha survice ko band kar dena anuchit hay
                                      mere dwara aneko mail ki gai unka jawab niyam ke birudha hi aya hay

                                      plez mere no chalu karwane ka kaset kare & jo balance hay use wapas karwane ka kast kare & copany ko nirdesit karne ka kast kare ki kisi ki bhi sim anuchit tarike se band na kare

                                        I want to register the complaint againt your idea data card. It often get disconnected and very slow also.
                                        Always it get disconnected after 15- 20 minutes. What should I do.?
