I am an IDEA Cellular prepaid customer. On 29th June 2012 I activated 2G on my number[protected]X using the 98 rupees v-coupon. The validity of this coupon is 30 days and was due to expire on 29th July 2012. On 30th July 2012, I received absolutely no intimidation from IDEA that this coupon has expired and approx. Rs. 82 were unfairly deducted from my top up balance for usage of 4MB data. This is a gross negligence from a company of this stature. According to TRAI regulations, the customer must be given due notice of service expiry or the service should be disconnected. IDEA cellular has fraudulently charged for the service in violation of TRAI guidelines. I demand immediate action, failing which I will lodge a complaint with the appropriate authorities for the illegal deduction on my account.

    I am holding a prepaid IDEA card number +91 [protected] and i am A IDEA CUSTOMER FOR LAST 5 YEARS, Recently i came to Dubai and am tried to use my phone and found that my Out going calls as well as out going SMS are barred without reason, I am receiving in coming calls as well as in coming SMS. When i called to customer care they asked me the option to selected Language and i selected English and connect to customer care executive, As soon as i connected he started speaking in Telugu then i asked him to speak in English then he managed but very bad English and so poor that he was not able to even understand what am trying to say i explained him the problem then he asked me to change the message center and just said was that enough information and cut the call.

    I tried what he said but nothing worked then i again called and my bad luck or no executive was available or same person picked and again started askingg details then again i explained and then he told me to be on hold and transferred to his Team lead and the lead just started asking me is yoUr tower OK is the phone working what is Ur number and what is Ur address and all, after i explained he again hold and transferred to another person and now this person started speaking in Hindi and again asked me the details then he updated me as the first team lead told we are taking yoUr complain and you will get a call in 24 hrs they kept me on hold for 30 min on an international call and still no result.They don't know even know with which network they have a tie up in Dubai and they are sitting in the call center just transferring the calls without any proper English Now in a foreign country i am suffering cannot make a mobile payment.

    Think i have just reached in Dubai and i have stuck in a problem no one around to help and my cell replies me yoUr outgoing call is barred, YOU ARE JUST DEAD DUE TO YOUR CELL IS BARRED AND YOU CANT CALL ANY HELP HELL why the quality of service is like this INEED TO ASK IDEA PLEASE.

    Only after the phone was changed to postpaid and was transfered to my father's name the phone number was activated idea ppl just saw money at that time and not the customer who is their customer from last 20 years

    Idea — very poor response

    Dear Sir,

    This is regarding the poor response of your customer care facility.
    Few day before I have received a call from your IDEA. The person told me your no. is selected for GIFT. And the gift is IDEA is giving unlimited interconnection on my cell .it’s free of cost. So he was permission to activate it. But he didn’t told fully truth.
    From that day to till day daily Rs 20 is cutting from my balance. This is very bad for a customer.
    I have registered a complaint against this with complaint no. 85121841 on Friday and they told me this internet facility will be disconnecting on Saturday evening.

    But it’s not done still now.

    On Sunday, again registered complaint regarding same but again poor response .second complaint no is 85255317.

    This is very poor response which I got from idea . I thought idea will be very good communicator agency .but no, now I relished it’s very bad.

    You are requested to please see into matter and close its very as soon as possible.

    Idea — Poor response

    Few days ago, i got a SMS from idea about closing of my account due to lacking of recharge of minimum 200 Rs. in 6 months.when i call Idea customer care to ask about the recharges done on my account for last 6 months, the customer care representatives told me the amount recharged for last 2 months only.the remaining detail was not provided.
    I want to know how much amount is left to make it to 200.

      One more time an incident of CHEATING/FRAUD by IDEA. Again Rs. 99 deducted by IDEA for nothing. This has happened when the previous issue of Rs. 50 deduction on 22nd July 12 is not resolved yet. Now on 28th July'12 Rs99 gets deducted from my account balance for number [protected] for nothing. There was no request nothing but when I check with customer care, again they render a deaf ear and say that the charge has been done by computer and they can't tell for what. for this I can only say what can they tell if they themselves are forcing such fraudulant activity and CHEATING consumers.
      Request the forum to get the case resolved from IDEA. this is really frustrating and if not resolved then there is no other option then to stop using the services.

        It was really tough/ hard communication with your customer service. Last Sunday on 31/01/2010 you people had set the dialer tone on my cell phone without my information when i knew that a ringtone had set on my mobile then I submit a request in the customer care service The guys told me that the dialer tone will be deactivated in next 24 hour & refund to be add in your balance. but after a week neither I got a refund nor a satisfied anwer.

        When today I cummunication with your people he said your refund not to be approve because of you had complained after 3 days set of dialor tone. Any way, I conclude that if I recharge by 1000/- You people deduct from my balance & put some excuse, Right a way keep it up sir,

        I also applied the DND before 20 days by as of now it's not activate on my cell no [protected].

        By the today itself, I don/t recognize to anyone to take your idea number.

            Dear sir, I am MNP user of idea prepaid gujarat. My number is [protected].when my number got ported company gave me a scheme that for 3 months by recharging by Rs. 21 i will get 500 MB 3G data. i was continously using this scheme.last time when i recharged with 21 rs. company changed the plan after 2 days of my recharge. they did not informed me and transfered my scheme to 2G plan. when i called the customer complain in 198 they did not gave me the proper answer and kept my call on hold for 30 minutes, and even did not registered my complain.i request u to draw necessary attention towards my complain.thank u.

              There is an unwanted activation of service Idea Talkies in my Mobile no. [protected]. They not only activate that service but also deducted Rs 100 charge from my balance.

                I am having painful experience with Idea .

                On 23 July , I on advise of customer care executive activated Rs 05 plan which she told me is having following features :-

                - 50 mb 2g data.
                - 24 hrs connectivity.
                - Automatic renewal after 24 hrs.
                - Process to activate.
                I downloaded approx 35 mb data till late night and afterward deactivated the service using *800*222# switch and closed my packet data connection.

                On 24 July at 0422 hrs I received sms from IDEA that Rs 241 have been deducted from my main account for browsing 11.2 mb data.

                I called customer care executive 4 times , I received 4 different reasons each times which are :-

                . The deduction is due to some phone calls I had made.
                - The deduction is due to downloading as data plan covers only browsing not downloading.
                - The deduction is due to termination of data plan after 1200 pm.
                - The deduction is due to 3g data usages as 2 g data pack cant be utilized in a 3 g connection.

                I reported the matter to Idea and I receive following reply:-
                I downloaded first from my 2g pack and afterwards I activated my 3g zero balance pack. Which is a point black lie and they are covering their tracks.

                Idea Cellular — CHEATING / FRAUD

                I’ve been using pre-paid connection [protected] for the past 1-1/2 years.

                Yesterday ( on October 23, 2007) evening an executive who pretended to be from IDEA came to my house and told me that my no. is selected by company (IDEA) and some special scheme is being on-passed. He explained me the package and told to submit following:

                1. Photo identity
                2. One photograph
                3. Rs. 500

                He took 2 & 3 above and said Photo identity is not required as it was already available in the office. (IDEA) Before leaving he gave a money receipt (attached for ready reference) and confirmed that scheme will be activated within an hour.

                But till now after 19 hours no SMS is received and these executives have not yet called back also. When I tried to call them to know the status they are disconnecting the call.

                The names of the executives are;

                1. Sahil Sharma (who called & coordinated the meeting ) [protected]
                2. Abhishek (who came to my house to collect money) [protected]

                I am writing you this mail after understanding that I am CHEATED and request you to intervene into the matter. Based upon my complaint you may also take up with appropriate authorities to catch hold of these executives, so called from IDEA.
                I am Somenath Mukherjee. My Idea Prepaid No. is [protected]. I e-recharge by Rs. 98/- for internet browsing dated on[protected]. But service was not given by the Idea Cellular till[protected]. Also deducted Rs 45/- from my main balance (top-up) without services and not returned the balance till[protected].
                I complained many times but not solved.
                Activate the internet service and also returned the balance which was wrongly deducted by Idea

                  Hmm here is the climax of previous complaint issue...
                  after 23rd july conversation, I tried to call customer care back on 24th evening exactly after 24hr of my last conversation and with out any doubt my calls not connected to customer care and i attempted approxmatly 5-6 times in 1hr and still i didn't
                  able to connect to customer care so i decided to try again later. This time i made call to customer care on 25th July morning around 10 Am and luckly one of customer support pick my call and asked if he can help me then i told whole story back to new
                  guy and he said he will check for the status of that past converstion and said you can raise a complaint on this issue so we try to solve it, I raised complaint again and I received message like " Dear Customer, Your concern for Recharge benefits is registered and would be
                  actioned by 07/26/12 5:02:00 PM. SR No.1-[protected]. To Know the status of this SR kindly sms ST 1-[protected] to 12345. Thank you."
                  On 26th July 2012 around 10:46 Am i received one more message like " Dear Subscriber, your request is in process and expected completion Date and time is 26/07/2012 17:02:00 "
                  And you know guys i received one more message on 26th July 2012 around 01:14 PM like "Dear Customer, Your Concern for Recharge benefits is registered and would be actioned by 07/27/12 7:15:00 PM. SR No. 1-[protected]. To know the status of this SR Kindly sms ST 1-[protected] to 12345. Thank you "
                  On 26th July 2012 around 07:34Pm I received Final 2 Messages that " Dear Customer, Your Concern for Recharge benefits not received has been resolved succefully with adjustments posted. SR No.1-[protected] "
                  "your Complaint no1-[protected] has been resolved. You interacted with VENKATESH_G01. If satisfied, please type Y Else N "
                  Then I replied to same number with "Y" sent to "[protected]"

                  Thank you Idea Customer Support who all helped me to recover my Recharge benefits back with talk time from 3G Plan. Special Thanks to Anil Floor In-charge of Idea Cellular Customer Support.

                    I am a customer of IDEA Cellular Prepaid service since 12 years and recently I was told that my mobile number is disconnected for not using the service for a period of 45 days which is false as I have received an SMS on 26th June on same mobile number.

                    Also I was never informed that there is rule of this kind such as "If not used the service for 45 days then SIM will be deactivated". IDEA has not informed me that my SIM would be deactivated in so many days or updated me that such rule is in effective, not sure since when it is in effective.

                    Also I had few hundreds of rupees as balance on my prepaid number and as the SIM is disconnected that balance is lost.

                    If I can make a simple math: If there are 1, 00,000 customers who falls under my situation with 100 INR as balance IDEA is keeping 1 Crore INR and that amount is not given back to customers from IDEA. This would be a big scam by IDEA.

                    Approached IDEA Customer Care (Srikanth and Shravan Supervisors) and they say that they cannot do anything about this kind of cases and when I said I would approach media they said ok, which means they care nothing for the customers and they don’t afraid of any body.

                    Please publish this article or take some kind of action. Cases of mine are so many in the net and you can publish the names and contact numbers of mine.

                    Idea Cellular — False notice

                    I have received a call from court that a legal notice has been sent to me in regard to non payment of an Idea phone bill. though i never ised Idea services. So I called up the concerned lawyers and i got to know the following:

                    Notice is sent to some address at Rajouri Garden, to which i never belonged. and possibly they have called up wrong person. I got call again from the lawyer regarding the same to which i described my identity but but he disagrees.
                    i'm amazed from where did they get my mobile number?

                      I had availed Services from Idea Cellular (Prepaid) in Bangalore City on my number [protected] . I used there Rs 44/- offer available which entitled me to have daily 100 sms local and national free for 60 days. I had activated this pack on 24th July 2012. On 26th July 19th night around 2 A.M. i had sent total of 77 sms's. Next day morning when i checked my balance it was around Rs 120/- deducted. On enquiring with customer care and other authorities i was told that i had sent more than 100 sms's on that day, the figure they told is of 287 messages.. In my mobile it can be checked that no more than 77 SMS's were sent. At that time there were some network issues and message sending was getting failed. May be they have charged me for failed messages as well. They are not ready to refund the money. Actually my message count was within free limit so my charge should have been zero. The have harrased me by giving excuses on customer care not guiding to any proper refund mechanism and sending from one office to another.I am expecting refund of the amount they deducted.

                      idea gsm — balance cut for local sms

                      i activate sms pack but my balance(RS.1.5 /sms) cut for relince gsm number.i complane 8 times but no responce.
                      i can call to any mobile also i cant send able no sms and incoming sms, calls nothing coming i have a balance but my call is not connecting my mob num is [protected]

                      To update on this, they followed but told that indeed their records showed that i have sent all the SMS and that my phone had some defect. Anyways i was tired of consecutive bad experience their and have moved on to Docomo and guess what i have the same mobile but i don't get charged for SMS i have not sent.

                      And i am now a very happy customer which got rid of such a worst provider and insensitive customer care people.

                          I have received call from idea custemercare(NOMBER: [protected] on 23/07/2012 at 12:34 pm) stating that if you recharge with Rs 60 then you will get full talk time of Rs 60 but i have not got full talk time.i also complaint in idea care but did not received satisfactory answer.                             I got message from idea CMS saying thank you for downloading content package from nazara. i have been charged Rs.75 on 24 july at 9:53 pm. when i called the customer care they blaimed me tht i had downloaded something f hirom the site. when i refused and told him tht i dont have the history in my browser than he says sir you and your frnd whoever somebudy done downloading but i refused . when second time i call customer care the person name i don't konw told me tht i got a other message from nazara on 25 july with balance deduction of Rs.30.00 at 10:00 pm when i told him to let me talk to senior officer put me on hold and then disconnected. when i called again they put me on hold for a very long time.
                            what i do?
                            25 july i go for port my idea no in to vodafone and i go vodafone store and ddposit my id & photo
                            after that in evening idea deducted Rs 30 in my balance

                            Idea — deduction of prepaid balance from mobile

                            I activated the net10 plan on my idea prepaid mobile.while using net continuosly, after somedays the plan got deactivated by itself without any notification via phone or msg. & the money deduction started @ 2paise/kb thus giving me a huge loss of balance. When asked about the same at customer care they gave irresponsible answers, with different answers each time I asked the Questions.I have the recordings of my conversations with executives which may be used as a reference.I would therefore like to lodge a complaint against the firm asking for their behaviour towards their potent customer

                            Idea — Rs 105 have been deducted from my balance for no reason

                            I am a IDEA subscriber with the mobile number [protected].I checked my balance on 17th march, 2009's night and my balance was Rs107.53 but the next morning when i checked i found it to be Rs2.53 and there was a deduction of Rs105 from my balance for no reason as in i had never had any of the plans(like caller tune etc.) activated on my account nor i had by mistaken pressed a button on my cell phone as i always kept it on my table before sleeping. I called and complained about it in the costumer care but they didn't solved my problem and after that one complain they have done something which does not allow me to contact them again. I mailed my complain also to the costumer care but there too i didn't got my problem solved. So please do help my to get my problem solved as soon as possible.Please help me!!!

                            please never buy idea net connection because of recently i purchased idea prepaid data card with unlimited plan 599/- (unlimited browsing, surfing and free download also) but whenever i am using the browsing the amount will be deducted from my main balance, so many times have called with customer care, different people give different type of responces, we are given the response as we are charged with uploading cost, downloading costs are separately, i can't understnd what we need to use the free browsing,

                            please before buy the IDEA datacard confirm with him plans and everything ( terms and conditions properly)

                            Idea Pre-paid — pre-paid disconnect citing documents as reason(Mobile number is 9705419917)

                            To Whom it may concern,

                            The last time I called your customer service on 07/10/2009, I was told that my documents required for new connection has been received. But, Since 11/10/2009 my pre-paid services have been suspended and I could not even reach Customer service on 11/10/2009. When I tried again calling customer service on12/10/2009 I am getting a recorded voice message which says that my account has been suspended as the documents were not submitted. I don't understand why my services are suspended when your customer service representative has confirmed that my documents have been received on 07/10/2009. I also complained on the same day saying that some of my calls are not connected but the prepaid is being deducted. This is not what I expected from one of the major telecom service provider. I want a responsible person to look into the matter and find out why I am without services since 2 days and how long will it take to restore my services.

                            Idea Prepaid Mobile — wrong deduction of balance

                            from 24 of Feb.2010 idea co. was continuously activated any scheme from their choice on my number.

                            still now 1scheme is pending on my number to get activated from their side because i am not having balance.

                            Right now I am on International Roaming and my phone is switched off most of the time.So there is no reason why my balance should get deducted.Please look into this matter at the earliest.

                            Idea Pre-paid — No balance in my mobile

                            I had recharged my mobile from GURUKRUPA COMMUNICATIONS, Near Shivajinagar S.T. stand, Pune - 411005. My mobile no - [protected] The shop keeper told me that you will get the balance in your mobile in 1 hr time. He also issued a receipt for the cash of Rs. 50/- (I had paid the shopkeeper) vide receipt no. 3563 dated 5/6/2010. Kindly take necessary action so that I get the balance for which I had paid the money.

                            Idea Cellular - Prepaid Mobile — Unauthorized deduction of Rs 100 without giving any service or confirmation

                            On 19th Oct 2010 at 8.45 PM i got a service message from IDEA, and just on opening the message they give another message showing "Thank you for subscribing - now download games". I just exit from the message without trying to download any. But the IDEA cellular, fraudulently deducted Rs 100 from my account.
                            It was a clear fraud. I try to register a complaint by calling their customer care, but the people at the customer care center at Ernakulam did not co-operates with me.
                            When I called a zonal manager Smt. Rathi S Kumar at her mobile [protected] she merely advice me not to open such messages. She told that IDEA will cut off money with out any intimation, even if we are not accepting any services.
                            I could understood that IDEA Cellular is looting their clients in this way and many other.
                            Please do some thing to prevent these looters.

                            Suddenly my balance of around rs 80 had deducted from my account as on date 22-dec-2010 and i got proper call costs and timings through a message but there is no such information given of that Rs 80. I am a long term user of idea and i have noted many times that there is no response from idea customer care.
                            no use of posting here me too didnt get any responce.take the issue to the consumer court.u will get justice there

                              I,Abhinav Anurag is using idea prepaid plan.My no is [protected] in the name of Omkarnath Arpan.Accidently a 3G plan of Rs 9 was activated by me about 15 days ago.I submit a complain in customer care for the deactivation of the plan.They have registered my complain on 19th july 2012.bt still the plan has not been deactivated.Whenever i call hey say ur complain is in progress,or there is technical fault.ur problm will be solved in 24 hrs.Bt their 24 hours has not come still now.I visited the service centre also on 23rd july.They mailed my complain to their higher authority saying the problem will be solved in two days bt still the plan exists.There is daily deduction of Rs 9 from my balance.
                              It has disturbed me mentally,daily calling customer care,requesting them to deactivate my plan bt still no result.So i request you to look into the matter,Please make any arrangement to dactivate my plan and make me refund my unnecessary deduction.

                              I took a Idea prepaid connection on 30th October 2010 and recharged it with Rs.50.I got Rs.42 and a day after I have suprised to see that my account was deducted by Rs.35.I have not used any service for it.
                              Is this the way the company behaves with the customer.
                              What an Idea companyji????????

                                Yesterday date 24/07/2012 I am not in Mumbai and not use GPRS or 3G service during 6.30 AM to 8.30PM but at 6.48 PM I get 1 msg from Idea and they deduct 5rs. from my balance for downloading One97 pack I make complaint on 198 customer care against this unfair practice complaint no. SR NO. 1-[protected].
                                Before 5 day's they also deduct 1rs. from my balance.

                                    This is in reference to the balance deducted from my account on 22nd July 2012; initially Rs. 142 at 2.15 pm and then an amount of Rs. 10 in the evening.

                                    The customer care informed me that these amounts have been deducted for Internet usage and they said that the APN is IdeaGPRS; but I have BLAKCBERRY services activated on my number and the Idea Blackberry Customer Care executive told me that the APN is Blackberry only.

                                    I never got the GPRS service activated and the customer care was not able to provide me any data on 22nd July as there were no updates in there system for my number after 13th July 2012. On 23rd morning I have been given all the details.

                                    And to make it more clear prior to 22nd July 2012 also I have used internet but nothing like this happened. Then how come all of the sudden the balance has been deducted.

                                    I have sent a mail to Idea care also but have got no response till date.

                                    This is a very poor picture of customer service.

                                    I want the entire amount to be refunded to my account as soon as possible.

                                    I have called up the customer care so many times... Everytime they tell me that the server is not working, please call up after 4 hours.
                                    If you can check the records you will see that there are so many calls made to Idea care.
                                    Yesterday also i did a recharge of Rs. 56 and it wasnt credited to my account.

                                    And i need an explanation that when BB unlimited plan has been activated then how come browsing by GPRS is enabled and charges are being levied???

                                    I never asked for the GPRS to be activated, since I already got BB Plan activated on 13th. Do you think I am a fool that I will use a blackberry handset and use GPRS ????

                                    Using Idea is a waste of money for me and your customer care executives dont know how to talk to a customer. For pre-paid customers providers like you are taking advantage of customers by deducting charges towards nothing.

                                    Could you please explain "Why GPRS charges when BB Plan is activated??"

                                        I am an active subscriber of idea cellular and have been suffering from many issues like automated balance deduction.

                                        They normally use to deduct balance from the customer's account without their knowledge and if you called them to know the reason they will tell you that "There is disturbance in the line we are unable to hear you, please call again".

                                        They don't even responded to the email which I have sent them as complaint.

                                        There is customer support is lack of professionalism and very poor as they don't know how to assist their customers.
