Hi
I am JASKIRAT SINGH BATRA from INDIA
I have sent my application documents to 8-10 universities in USA. I sent all my documents including the recommendations sealed in an envelope inside the application. Today, I received the notification from my school that they received a letter from United states postal service office, International airmail record unit, new york international service centre, Jamaica new york that the recommendation has been sent back.; I guess there was school address on it thats why it was possible. Its just written "Found loose in mail" and not even name o[censored]niversity. I am worried if the other universities will have received my all documents or not? Or USPS would have been trying to send other recommendations too but due to non-availability of address they might have not?
But I don't understand how can this happen? When we sent it properly sealed, then how can you open it and send inner documents as found loose in mail. If it was found so, then other materials of that particular application letter might have also been lost by you.?
It was registered post. What should I do? Is it possible to know which university has received my documents and have all reached them?
I need to know as its my career problem and I wont waste my year becuase of non reaching of application by post because of you. Their deadlines were 31 december, 2007 or 1 january 2008. I had posted all the applications on 20 december 2007. Or I will have to complain of postal office. Tell me what to do? can you track it?
Plz suggest
