Dear sir,
I had a reservation on jet connect flight from New Delhi to Leh on 22 February 2013 at 10.25 hrs. I booked the flight thru Make My Trip.com on 22 February 2013. I was travelling for a trekking expedition and I had paid a hefty amount to my trek organizers and hotel booking etc. On 22 Feb 2013 morning I received a Mobile Message from jet airways about he Flight Timings and confirmation but tragedy is this when I recached new delhi airport I was told by Mr.Ashwani Gaind (Manager Jet Airways) Mobile Number -[protected] that we cant give you a seat in the going flight as the flight is overbooked and Please take Rs.3000 as compensation and go back we can only board you on 24 February 2013.The Manager Mr.Ashwani also wrote on our boarding pass of 24 January 2013 Jet connect flight that if you want to postponed your return flight (which was also from jet connect) can be done without charging any money but on the 4 of march 2013 The Leh airport manager refused to entertain me so I had to come back on 4th march 2013. In the whole scenario I lost a lot of money I had to cancel my hotel booking, I had to reorganize my whole trek my previous group of trekking left us. so it was completely full of mental pain and loss of big chunk of money. I have full proof of everything like tickets etc.. I am planning to sue jet airways Please advice.
My questions to jet airways are:-
1. why did Jet airways do overbooking if they did why didnt they intimate us?
2. why did jet airways sent me a mobile message on 22 feb 2013 about the flight timings and departure details.
3. why did Jet airways Manager Leh airport failed to entertain us and refused to help us despite a big promise by Mr.Ashwani G?
4. who is responsible for my money loss and mental trauma?
5. How can Jet Airways escape themselves from their responsibility to treat well with their passengers.
