Auto Rickshaw at Kalyan — Complaitn about Auto Ricksaw at Kalyan

This is to bring to your notice about the auto rickshaws in Kalyan, where Auto Rickshaw’s don’t have meter system and any time they are asking for higher amount of money. I would like to ask the authorities why they don’t force them to use meter… they are bigger then authorities. This is sheer corruption on the part of the auto rickshaw drivers and it is really become nuisance for us consumers as we are the ones who are suffering .I would request to take notice and stricter laws be imposed on the auto rickshaw drivers who don’t want to use the meters and are asking higher amount of money than the usual fare. After all we cannot spend our hard earned money to fill the houses of auto rickshaw drivers. My suggestion would be that there should be some strict authorities are required which takes up the complaints and matter of such auto rickshaw drivers so that they don’t break laws.

Also wanted to know… Is this an official site? Do the concerned authorities really visit this site and take actions? or its just meant to vent our anger? If anyone knows of an official site, please mail me.

We need there Strict action on Auto Ricsaw's. They are charging as per there requirement If we argue then they say that "kya kare vaapas khali aana padega". This is not our headache. Strictly support for Meter's in Auto Ricksaw

Seems we have to wait for one more generation for some department to take action.

hi Mukesh, I agree to your complaints but don't think that this weak system is going to take any action against this .We have to go to consumer court for this. Becoz of law they have installed the meters but of no use they don't use it.I stay on Vali peer road by meter it is hardly 500 mtrs but still they are charging 30 -50 rs.This is not right, unless we all come together this is going to happen.I don't think this is a official website.we will have to file written complaint in the RTO office of Kalyan.

Share rickshaw fare decided by RTO
The distance from Kalyan station to Khadakpada is around 2.2km. As per traffic card of Maharashtra government the fare of rickshaw will be around RS.22. In kalyan RTO are taken trial and decided share of Rs.12 / head. That means they are taken Rs. 36 for 2.2km. But most of times it is found rickshaw drivers are not start to journey if four seat not available. Even in the early morning or late night also they are waiting for to get four seat, unless they demanded four seat money from other three seats. Meter are compulsory in Kalyan but no one rickshaw is ready came with meter reading. The day before i was seat in khadakpada and luckily rickshaws meter is ON. After reaching at Kalyan station its meter is showing only Rs.26/-. But we paid Rs. 48/- as per share decided by RTO. It is almost double. Pl it is request RTO to check share fare and run rickshaw in meter in kalyan.
