This reflects an extremely poor, consumer-unfriendly picture of working of MSEDISCO. When every relevant detail is given in most clearly and elaborately in the complaint itself why should they demand personal attendance of the complainant to rectify the problem, except for obvious reasons of bribe. The main problem is that such serious complaints are mostly handled by lower level babus in the office or by the junior level officers who, unless their palms are greased do nothing but to pass on the buck from table to table, making the complainant to run from pillar to post. The matter, even if solved, reappears shortly after as what one table has done the other one does not know.
It is strongly suggested that such matters should be dealt with in a well coordinated manner with one single officer / agency responsible for it from start to end. Consumer, (they call a highly valued customer) should not be put to such harrasment for no fault mof his.
