I am constrained to write this mail while i am on my honeymoon trip which has been totally spoilt because of the pathetic service that make my trip has given to me. I had booked a holiday package through make my trip. The following were the difficulties i faced during my trip.
1. The Driver of the cab was unaware of the places we had to visit. We had to guide him to take us to various sites at different places in kerala
2. the hotels booked were of sub standard category whereas i was told that the hotels would be of 3 star category.
3. As per a confirmed voucher emailed to me , i was supposed to check in at a hotel called backwater ripples at kumarakom kerala. But to my surprise when i reached there and presented the makemytrip voucher they said that the booking in my name was not there. I called make my trip about 15 times to just confirm as to where i had to go so that i could spend my night somehow. They panickingly booked my hotel in some small village after about 3 hrs of coercing and shouting. The hotel was about 25 kilometres from the original place and i had to check in at around 9 pm. Adding to my mental agony was the fact that the hotel was a pathetic one with no facilities and sub standard category of services. apart from this there was no place for site seeing.
4. I would advise people not to book any packages from make my trip. They are duping people of their hard earned money. For a 6 nights package i had paid about 52000/- Rs but all in vain. Was this information helpful? |
Make My Trip — sub standard service
i had booked for hotel accommodation and cab service with make my trip for rajasthan tour. As per the itinerary given by them, they had promised standard deluxe a/c rooms in 3 star hotels for all 10 nights. In line with this itinerary we made full payment in advance. But actually, apart from 3-4 hotels, we were accommodated in below 3 star level rooms some with/without a/c and one with air-cooled. we wasted our money and valuable time complaining to make my trip during the tour. Accordingly they promised me refunding for the balance services which were not provided as promised in the itinerary (i.e. 3 star+ std. deluxe a/c rooms). but its been long time since i have sent a formal complaint via email on customer feedback form for a reply from them.
