my swift vdi was purchased in June 2008. last one month I am facing a peculiar problem in my car. at high speed above 100kmph sometimes throuttle does not respond and even though keep pressing the accelerator the speed starts coming down. Once even at 80kmph there were continous jerks and there was emission of black smoke for atleast 1 minute and then stopped. Trinity motors (Basaweswarnagar) in bangalore have tried their best for locating the cause but they could not. They have cleaned the total fuel system and also have changed the air filter. After that there is an improvement, but the problem was experienced above 130kmph speed. Then serive team asked me to try in a long drive and to be using sheel diesel. In long drive initially once I found this but later the problem was not found, and I could check till 140kmph speed. But again after I returned to Bangalore sometimes I am experiencing the jerks. Further the milieage which used to be around 16.7km/lt (with A/c at lowest setting) has dropped to 15km/lt since last one month.
Another abnormality which I have noticed since the time I have purchased it is its very high engine noise. But many of the maruti stns say it is not abnormal, but slightly high. But I have tried other VDI's, they are not so noisy.
I love this car, but AM WORRIED IF ANY PERMANENT SOLUTION IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROBLEM. I UNDERSTAND FROM TRINITY MOTORS THAT THEY WERE IN CONTIMOUS TOUCH WITH MARUTI'S SUPPORT TEAM AND HAVE TRIED ALL THE POINTS THAT WERE RECOMMENDED BY MARUTI.
