[Resolved]  MCD Complaint — Complaint for prolonged main-lanes digging in Ashok Vihar

MCD has been digging the main lane, right in front of the house lane for B block market, Phase 1, Ashok Vihar, for more than 2 months now. They dug front of 15 houses to start with before, to make drainage vent and made drastically slow progress there. They picked the next 8 houses 2 weeks back and now the whole lane looks to be full of pot holes and mud piles leaving it as a misery for all the residents.

The elders and children find it difficult to walk through lest they may fall in one of these blocks injuring themselves or falling into in dark time of the day. The cars have a tough time navigating through the lanes. Asthmatics have grave problem for the mud sweeping in the place all the time. The contractor undertaking the work has disappeared and many stories like many house owners are not allowing the progress using their known links in MCD department.

This is unfair and extremely neglected area and it needs urgent attention. The whole work, which would not have ideally taken more than a week for the entire lane has taken more than 2 months and still we have no respite to look for.

MCD — Unauthorized Sewerage Connection to MCD Rain Water Drain

Mrs Veenu ,Occupant of Flat No. 23/26, Upper Ground Floor, Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi is trying to connect another Sewerage Pipe to the RAIN WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM. They have recently constructed a Toilet with W.C for their vested interest and the outlet of the toilet is being unauthorizedly/illegally connected to the Rain Water Drain in front of my house i.e. 23/34, Ground Floor, Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi- 110 060 which will create “HEALTH HAZARD”. Kindly stop this activity and direct the occupant of H.No. 23/26, Upper Ground Floor, Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi to connect it with the proper Sewerage System of Delhi Jal Board.

When we objected this activity, the occupant of the above said premises misbehaved by abusive language which has resulted in humiliation to the respected senior citizens of India. I myself and my wife both are senior citizens.

Sir/Madam

This is to bring to your kind notice that three vehicles namely Maruti 800 car (red colour) and Ambassador car (grey colour) and Mitsubushi Lancer car(white colour) have been parked outside B-38 Moti Nagar, New Delhi - 110015 . These vehicles excluding the lancer car are unfit to be driven on delhi roads and are more than 15 years old . Pollution check certification has also not been issued to these cars for a long time . The residents of the area face a lot of problems due to these cars as the width of the road decreases to a great extent and only one car can pass by the road at a time .

I on behalf of the residents of the society request you to take immediate action against these unauthorised vehicles .

An early response will be highly appreciable.

Thanking You
Yours Sincerely

The existing hazardous problem may be very harmful to the lives of the thousands of innocent students, teachers and passers-by who passes through this way.

No cleanliness has been done here for more than last eight months. During the last rainy season, the above-mentioned wasteful items and the long grass grown up there filled with the rainy water and spread the deadly disease Dengu, Maleria etc. around the area. That spead foul smell also.

It is a matter of shame for the Educational and Maleria Department. That no attention has been paid for many months and paid deaf ear to the deadly problem. It is the question of thousands of innocent lives of students, teachers, orphange children and others.

I hope you will take some stringent action in this regard and direct the concerned official to resolve the problem as early as possible. Moreover, hope to take charge/fine from those institutions who are in slumber for long and responsible.

Leave Encashment while in service is taxable. Encashment of sick leave is taxable. Leave encashment received at the time of retirement is fully exempt in the case of Government Servants. In the case of non-Govt. Employees, leave encashment is exempt to the extent of the least of the following four amounts: -
• Rs. 3, 00, 000/-
• Ten months' average salary;
• Cash equivalent of the leave due at the time of retirement;
• Leave encashment actually received at the time of retirement.
Here the average salary means the average of the salary drawn during the last ten months before retirement.

But the major question is in case of the private companies, where the attrition factor is, whether resignation tentamount to be a retirement? In other words the amount received towards the PL under the full and final sattlement is taxable? This is taxable!
