[Resolved] MCD Vasant Kunj — Blocked Drainage

I would like to draw attention of the Municipal Corporation of Vasant Kunj toward the ill maintained drainage. In C-8 the drainage is blocked and water is overflowing and stagnant with bad smell. It can cause disease in the area. Even though it being a posh South Delhi area; it fails to get any treatment of that sorts. It has been brought to MCD attention a number of times but no action has been taken. It causes a great deal of inconvenience to all - the visitors as well as the residents.

Therefore, it's my humble request for the authorities to kindly look into the matter and take some actions towards it .

The MCD field workers continue to harass and extort (bribes) from local resident who are doing perfectly legal upgrades to their homes within the already assigned constructed area, threatening police cases and bulldozers to break our homes down if we don’t pay up. No slip has been provided nor any rules quoted that dispute the routine upgrades. The MCD is becoming a menace and i hope higher authorities take a more active role in supervising the actions of their subordinates.

The stray dog menace is Ganga Yamuna (sector D6) is out of control now. I am myself an animal lover but the regular biting and mauling cannot be ignored now. Two days back my sisters whole calf was ripped off by a street dog without any provocation during her morning walk. RWA’s incompetence and utter disregard for public health couldn’t be any more obvious. I hope my complaint is taken up ASAP or legal option would be the only one left !!!
