We are the customer of State Bank of India, 39, North West Avenue, Club Road, West Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi-110026 with account no. [protected] since last 15 years approx. We use to deposit the statutory dues like PF, ESIC etc. in SBI as no other bank is authorised to do so. We issue the transfer cheque for payement thereof but the bank is in habit to deposit the challan after 3-4 days after deposit thereof. We had face such type of problem in April,11 also for which we had mad a written complaint to the branch manger but no improvement is noticed. In this month also we have submitted the cheque for ESIC in the branch on 17.11.2011 but they had deposit the challan on 22.11.2011 and also misplaced the original challan and we have not received the original challan till date (i.le. 25.11.2011). When we tried to talked with the concerned official they had told us to talk with the manager tomorrow as the the branch manager is on leave today.
Earlier also we had made this complaint to the branch manager but they usually give us the excuse of shortage of manpower.
We have the sales tax liability approx. 50 lacs per month which we used to deposit earlier in SBI but due to this behaviour of the bank, we have shifted the same from SBI to Axis bank.
As payment of statutory dues after the due date attacts penalty and penal provision along with disallownace of expenditure we request you to kindly take a strict action against this. Was this information helpful? |
