I applied for a credit card, this February(2009). I've two years of experience as a software engineer. They readily accepted the application, after asking for the required documents. After approx 3 months, I enquired about the status, only to find they've rejected it. Reason - they want minimum 3 years experienced professionals, not below that. This is because of global economic meltdown. Understandable. But, this rule was made on Jan 2009, and I applied precisely on Feb 11. My question is, why I was not made aware of any such rule at the time of application. I applied directly, and not through an agent. I would not have wasted time in getting all required documents, going to the bank and submitting them. If this was the US, I could have sued such an unprofessional bank, which does not know how to treat customers. Being India, of course things are different. Was this information helpful? |
