I can absolutely understand what the above complainants must be going through in their attempts to have the powers that be at MSEB Pune register, investigate, and solve their problems related to billing. For the past month or so, my 83-year-old Father has visited the relevant MSEB office - we moved to Baner in Jan. 2009 - to register his complaint re. a bill for Rs. 4000 for (supposedly) just one month's usage! We are just three people - Father, 80-year-old Mother who is practically bed-ridden, and I - using only the regular domestic appliances similar to those mentioned in Smt. Shanta Devi Sharma's complaint given above. There are no children who might be "accused" of over-using electrical appliances or power supply which, in any case, as mentioned in Mr. Nissar K. Sutar's complaint - esp. Point #s 2 and 3 - is highly erratic, with frequent voltage fluctuation resulting in severe damage to some of the appliances. If there is no electricity available to use more often than not, how then can we "increase" our consumption of power supply?
Despite repeated calls/visits, to date, nothing has been done...My Father had a terrible time trying to convince the MSEB officer he spoke to that the meter reading had not been done correctly as my Father himself had checked to see what the actual reading was. After much argument, and much running up and down - something that is difficult for even a much younger person to do, le alone an 80 plus person, that too when suffering from severe pain in the left leg - the Officer said a person would be sent to "re-do the reading". The Officer also kept our Bill, saying an amended Bill would be sent to us. Not unexpectedly, we have not received the "new" Bill with the correct reading till now and are truly worried as to what atrocity the MSEB will commit next. There is absolutely no one else in our home who can do the running around required as I have to stay with my Mother at all times, leaving my poor Father no choice...how heartless can the MSEB be, especially where such elderly senior citizens are concerned???
How can the MSEB be allowed to harass so many innocent, law-abiding, tax-paying citizens of India just because they are not "well placed" enough to fight such injustice?

Nature Of Complaint - Excess MSEB Bills

Dear Sir,
We are receiving MSEB bills for the month of February & March 2012 by an ascending order. The current bill is for R.S. 311.47/-. Actually minimum amount bills should come as we are not staying in the premises for which we receive bills, nor we have given the same on any rental basis. Gradually the bills have started coming by an ascending order. We wish to bring to your kind notice that as we are not staying in the premises, the question o[censored]sing or consuming units doesn't arive at all. The status of meter is shown as Faulty, which is absolutely absurd. If the premises is unoccupied, how can meter go ahead ? Instead, the meter is shown faulty. In the past. The bills will come in an ascending manner, the meter will be shown as faulty & finally supply will be cut. Is this not the way of harrasing & looting customer ? Eventhough paying the minimum bills regularly without any break, MSEB is looting us. How long this will continue & when we will get justice ?

5. Also today in the morning there is power failure due a blast in a DP nearby to our society but till now there is no action taken by your officials and your officials are not receiving phones viz. [protected]/[protected]Kharalwadi, Pimpri)
6. Ahead of this while paying bill we have to visit you office located at YCM, Sant Tukaram Nagar many times as they don’t have facilities like extra refill of Printers, Manpower etc. with negative replies.
7. If problem persists unnecessarily we have to take hard action against respective personals.
