This is to notify you that there are shops that are budding up in residential area of Sector 16 Rohini. These are variety of shops, like Provision stores, eateries, car repair shops etc., and all this on DDA allocated plots for the purpose of residence. How come and on what basis is MCD permitting these people to operate their shops in a residential colony? A point to be noted is that the DDA Shopping center in the said area is having nearly NIL occupancy and all because of these budding shops in residential area.
Right now the problem is still in somewhat nascent stage and can be taken care of rather easily as compared to future when Rohini sector 16 residential area would be having shops all around. As an example the road along the C-2 Block of the said area used to have only one shop in residential plots, however now there are more than 15 shops on that road, and if this is not checked now, in about coming year or two, there would be no residence on the ground floor in nearly the whole of area. Surprisingly, it is in an DDA governed area, the same DDA which is playing playing key roles in blueprints of Masterplans, whereas are failing to fulfil their basic duties. Just a thought, are MCD/DDA inspectors not keeping an eye at all at this or are having their eyes blinded by bribes which they are drawing out of these so called shop-owners. The consequences of this will be that again some time there will be a sealing drive which will fail so miserably, just because of the fact that the population of these shop-owners is going to be so huge.
