[Resolved]  Municipal Corporation Of Delhi — Birth Certificate

Dear Sir,

My child was born on 13th july 2009 in Ashok Nursing Home, krishna nagar delhi. I need to submit birth certificate of my child to my office, I asked the hospital they told me it will take 1 month. I called them after one month they told not recieved from MCD yet. After then I used to call for next five six week regularly for birth certificate but the same response that delay from MCD side. Then I decided to send my younger brother (as I am at bed rest) to go to MCD office in Sahadara, It is very far from my home but still he got manage to search and get there. but he saw a typical gov office environment where baabus don't want to work, office timings only God knows, lots of poor peoples are standing on line, dalals are there and again only God know how they manage to get your work done so quickly while poor people like us has to make atleast 5-10 rounds to MCD office to get a simple birth certificate. My brother went there atlease 5-6 time to register the birth, sometime there is a problem with system, sometime they are on strike, sometime queue was so long that he even couldn't reach to the window.
One thing was clear people are wasting their money and time, and last thing they have to land up is Agent (dalal).
My humble suggestion to the MCD is to make those dalals as a part of official process. People are agree to pay and still paying... why don't you guys create a new system say TATKAL where you can increase the certificate fee structure for a good amount, MCD will be able to raise their financials and people will come through the legal way instead of through dalals.
One last but not least suggesstion is that start a Moral Science classes at least once a month for Baabus so that they will get to know how to talk will general public.
