So far, it is impossible to check the birth records online in India. If you already got your BC from MCD, there is no need to worry. Of course, online cross-checking is the ultimate parameter in many of the official formalities. But you may thank God or even the Indian snail's pace god fathers (I mean the corrupt officials, from peons to premiers) for not moving with online updating!!!

Interestingly, even if online facilitation comes into existence, who the hell in India can make it fool-proof? It will only make it more complicated. INCREDIBLE INDIA:-)
