[Resolved]  Municipal Corporation Of Delhi — STRAY DOGS

Dear Sir,

I live in Rajouri Garden Extension(WZ Block), Near Tagore Garden Metro Station and Back side of Sarai Cambridge School. There are so many stray dogs in our colony(around 15). Sometimes they attacks on our children and our pets. Kindly take a step to clean them from our colony/area.

This is Uday Bhan, I am a resident of E-142, West Vinod Nagar, Gali No.3 Near Mangalam Hospital and Cyber Cafe Delhi -110092. The large number dogs in our street west Vinod Nagar past few years. Stray dogs in our area are becoming wild these days, they bark, charge and try to bite and so much people passing by, jump over the roof of the resident's cars and spoil the vehicle body by putting scratches on them. Today when I went to my car, a dog had been sitting under the car, whom I could not see and when I opened the door he tried to bite me, seeing this, one more dog tried at me. I somehow managed to save myself from injury but this indeed is a very serious problem in our area when people go for evening walks or morning walks and to kids playing outside their houses. Also sometimes, when people buy eatables from the nearby market, stray dogs follow them and sometimes attack or charge to get the food. I request the concerned MCD officials to kindly take the required action and save us from this peril.

This is to bring to your kind attention that the resident of QU- Block, Pitam Pura (Rohini Zone-54) living in fear of street dogs. Even some of the dogs are the symtoms of Rabeej. The dogs are living on the gali between flat no.162 - 165.

Hi, I am a resident of D-21, Indian Statistical Institute, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi-16.

There are a lot of stray dogs in our colony and they have started attacking people & keep barking all night leading in sleepless nights. This is causing lot of inconvinience and fear amongst everybody especially the kids & ladies are afraid to go out alone. Would request the dog cather unit to vist our colony and capture these dogs asap.

There are stray dogs in our area who are bleeding continuously. I believe it is some kind of diease that has spread among the dogs. They come and sit in front of our and neighbours door step. Wherever they sit they leave behind a pool of blood. These blood may be infectous. We are concern that it may spread disease and infection in the buildings in the area. It is requested that Dog catcher unit visit our area and capture these dogs and treat them. Kids live in our building. Action may be please be taken immediately.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi — Stray dogs in State Bank Colony, Delhi

Dear Sir,
The number of dogs has incresed almost double in past one year and they create a great nuisance to all colony residents. At night, these dogs fight among them selves and make a lot of disturbances in sleep. For past one year, MCD emloyees have not visited colony to catch the stray dogs; the MCD employee just take away two dogs on that day.

It is requested that MCD take urgent steps to curb dogs' nuisance.

I am Jyotsna, resident of I-Block, Nariana Vihar. I want to lodge the complaint about the street dogs in our locality. There is about 9-10 dogs in our locality who runs behind every person. All the people especially children are very scared of all the dogs. They sit under the parked vehicles & suddenly comes out & runs everybody. One of the dog is having the severe medical problem, BLOOD COMES OUT FROM THE MOUTH OF ONE DOG. It is not hygenic to come across it.

I request you to take this matter as extremely urgent & catch the stray dogs & place them at the proper place.

It is a humble request from all the residents of I-Block.

Jyotsna, here is what Mrs. Maneka Gandhi has responded to your complaint:
"It is illegal to remove dogs from their own residential areas. Have they been sterilized ? Please check if one ear is shorter than the other and shows a cut. if so, they are harmless and will not bite. they cannot be relocated because they are used to the food sources here. May I suggest that you all feed the dogs and make friends with them. Living in harmony is so easy to do.If one dog is ill, then we can catch them."

Respected Sir/ Madam, . I am a resident of FC - block tagore garden, new delhi.I want to draw your attention towards the problem of stray dogs in our area.There are over 20 dogs in our area , and the counting is still increasing.Due 2 them people are not able to move freely on the roads.Even we dont allow kids of this street to go and play outside, those dogs start barking on seeing anyone,sometimes they become so wild that they have even biten the locals of this area, please help us by removing them from our area.

I am also facing the same problem.A particular dog witha red strap around its neck keeps on sleeping in our building and bites people.We have raised this issue to MCD, they will only come and take the dog just to release it back in another 2-3 days, we want it to be removed permanently.Please take care to dispose this dog ASAP
