Hi, I applied for my Wife's Passport Kolkata Passport office. Few days back I received the Passport. But in that My Wife's Name spelling is incorret. In the Passport Application form we have mentioned the correct spelling of her Name, not only on that, each submitted documents, signed photo carried the right spelling of her name.It shows the negligence of the concerned people even in country's highest citizenship proof. Incorrect spelling of name printed on Passport : MANISHI PATRA Correct Spelling of Name should be : MANASHI PATRA Please let me know the process to get it corrected and how much time the whole process will take. Yes, i totally agree with Malay even the same thing happend with my sister's passport. They have mentioned incorrect last name ( spelling mistake ) only one charecter was not included. Could some let me know the process for correcting the same?

My mother's name spelling is incomplete,
and my house no has not mentioned,
and tehseel's spelling is wrong.

passport — Spelling mistake in birth place

Dear Sir,

There's a spelling mistake in my husband's birth place in his passport by passport officials, what am i supposed to do about it, is it important to get it corrected?

Same is the case with my mother's name spelling,
Does anyone know the process to correct it and how much time it would take
