[Resolved]  Passport — Application UNDER RTI ACT-2005-DELAY IN GETTING PASSPORT

Dear Sirs,

Kshipra Mishra (DoB –[protected] has applied for the passport on 02/08/2005 in Lucknow passport office with all the particulars and given file no. A081882 Year 2005. Police verification was completed within the 45 days of the application.

Kshipra has enquired many times at the passport office about the non issuance of the passport and every time got the reply that hard copy of her file is missing though her details with file number are available on passport office computer system.

On enquiring the status of this file number on the website of passport office it shows that the file is not available or wrong file number though it is available on computer system of passport office.

Kshipra visited passport office many times in person and every time PRO has assured that her missing file is being searched in the office and soon she will get the passport.

Even after the lapse of 3 years no passport is issued to Kshipra.

Kishpra has again approached to the Passport office Lucknow in Aug-2008 and the PRO has informed that they are unable to find her file, and asked her to again submit an application stating the old file number and also assured that she will received the passport within 15 days. She submitted the application again on[protected]. Still her file number status is not updated on the website.

This is a serious matter of concern and a virtual harassment to Kshipra.
It is a sincere request to your good self that kindly look into the matter and issue the necessary instructions.
