REQUIREMENT OF ECNR STAMP ON PASSPORT FOR VISITING UAE Dear Sir, On 13th February 2008 I visited Passport Office Ahmedabad for getting deletion of ECR stamp from the passport of my wife because she met the requirements for ECNR including the age.. I was told by the P.R.O. that ECNR stamp has been discontinued and one can travel to any country, including United Arab Emirates, even if his or her passport has ECR stamp marked on it. Will you be kind to confirm this? Respected Sir

I have applied for passport on 03.12.2009 and during police i was in Dehli for Business purpose. On 12.01.2010 i received notice that i hid some imformation from passport office. And for that i have to reply in notarised stamp paper about that notice. Sir i m not get time to meet so what i do . is i have to speed post that stamp paper. I have submitted all related documents which shows that i m not hiding any thing from government. Please reply

ECNR stamp..there are just complaints happening about that ...the pasport office says its not required..when you go to the airport the authorities tell you it necessary.You lose your money paid for the ticket. Is the passport office bothered about this? No ..because they get their salaries for jut itting there and giving people wrong guidance.. So many people are without job today and in that we have our govenment authorities trying to take advantage of all the possible..why cant they help someone?

can we stay UAE or any other country without the stamp or ECNR. what is the criteria of ECR and ECNR.

Dear Sir

I am planning to go to United Arab Emirates (UAE) for
my job purpose but I am waiting for my employment visa which I hope to receive within a fortnight. I am holding valid passport issued from Regional Passport Office, Ahmedabad. I knew that endorsement of ECNR is compulsory to go to UAE with employment visa. But i don't know what can I do for endorsement of ECNR in my passport.

Please guide me what is the solution.
