[Resolved] Passport Office Lucknow — Passport not issued

You are lucky you are not trying to get a US Passport. I submitted for my US Passport and they told me my birth certificate isn't valid because it has no raised seal/stamp. I was born long before they started using those fancy stamps, but had the signed courthouse notice saying the birth certificate is valid and filed. I had to wait for months to get a little piece of paper that says I was born in the US that was stamped. This piece of paper looks more fake than my old birth certificate. The State Department kept the nearly $100 I spent to try to get the first passport and wants another $100 to reapply. It's sick. I'd wait 2 years for a passport as long as I didn't have to pay for it twice. Come on over to America....land of the free and just....? Was this information helpful? No (0) Yes (0)
