[Resolved]  PC Chandra jewellers — purchasing gold 10 % less than the market value

Went to Golpark PC Chandra, pretty bad experience . Worth staying away from this
a) Staff was totally unprofessional ( except the Lady) -
They didnt acknowledge 2 critical mistakes
1) the ring was tight -and it was a manufacturing / workshop issue .. on repeated informing them and they had to actually repeat the measuring process. And was audacious enough to ask us to go to other shop to make the change . After quite a discussion, they finally agreed to make the changes
2) stone had 3 dots on the surface ) - as an amature I can make it out the issue was due to a machining tool, while the guy at the counter says the stone came with that . The person who selected the stone, said it wasnt there .
b) Cashier - Wasnt that great enough

This can be true.I too have not had a very good experience with PC Chandra Jewellers.I has received a pair of bangles (bala...as they rightly call it) from my Mother-in-law for my wedding.I had worn it only twice or thrice.The bangle actually broke from the jod.When I countered the staff at the PC Chandra Showroom at Gariahat I was told that this is quite normal.Each bangle wieghs around 25gm.If this is the condition of a bangle weighing 25gms each then imagine the fate of their goldlites collection.
I had to pay extra(ie. the price of the gold that was used to repair the bangle)
I have purchsed jewellery from Tanishq, Ramesh Chandra Paresh, Nemichand & Madanji Meghraj but have never faced this issue with any of them.This is very disheartening since it was gifted by my mother-in-law & has a sentimental value.
Moreover I was disheartened with the callous attitude of the staff at their Gariahat store.

I agree with the previous post. PC Chadra ha a different rate for selling and buying back even their own gold. I am very surprised at this. Also a gold bangle (noa) which I bought from its Ultadanga centre got loose and very fine gold strands fell off . When I complained to them, they did repair it at very nominal rate (just took the gold charge and not the repair charge) but also admitted quite blatantly that they cannot guarantee the gold work and can only vouch for gold purity.
I dont expect this of PC Chandra. It is shocking.

This is my wordt experience as a shopper, yesterday in the afternoon ibeen to P.C.Chandra jewllery i parked my vehicle, i sent my driver to bring a bottle of water, we went and asked for some ornament it was not there i came out, the security person there asked me to take the vehicle i told i do i dont have the keys driver got it, he went to bring water bottle, the person there is not ready to hear my word at all he saw, the car is driven by driver and im not telling i wont remove the vehhicle, i told i dont have keys, so he told you have to be here till the driver come, i was really unhappy the way you treated a customer .
I called manager there and explained thngs, the security there (he was a old person by name reddy )was shouting at me i have so much experince which i at least bothered, i too lost my temper i scolded him, for that im sorry,
it took some ten minutes and my driver came and he took the vehicle,
if you guys are hearing me i really dont understand what was my mistake in this,
is this the way you treat your customer, if was rude and was telling i wont remove vehicle, or if i was giving some false reason like my driver is away then thing is differnt.

I purchased a gold pendent set from pc chandra jeweler ultadanga.then when they weight it that was not same as shown but they convenience me they weight it in diamond section so gold weight and diamond weight is mattered and I believe it.but now I noticed that it's designe is broken and I matched the first day picture when I purchased it and I saw its same.and now I clear that's why the weight was the problem was that day.
