Sub: Case of Misguidance, Cheating the Customer & Breach of Promise given to customer

Dear Sir,

Quick Introduction. I work in M/S Nokia Siemens Networks India as CTO-APAC Technology Group in Gurgaon. I have been a big patron of Honda Cars & very proudly own the brand.

However, last month, I had a very sorry experience with Pearl Honda/Gurgaon . Here is the sequence of events:

1) I had given my car for repairing the damaged door. The Insurance claim was also to be done.
2) Due to professional commitments, I was not able to visit the workshop & everything was coordinated on the phone.
3) I had clearly told & instructed Mr Rajgopal that I do not wish to spend any extra amount & therefore he should undertake the repair/replacement only to the tune of what amount the insurance company surveyor passes.
4) I also instructed that no job whatsoever is to be started without my knowledge & without informing me.
5) After the assessment, I got the call from Rajgopal, clearly telling me that you will get Rs 28, 000 as the claim amount towards the door repair. He hided the fact that door is to be replaced.
6) I made the mistake of trusting him & gave the go ahead, thinking that its pure labour and I shall get the entire amount reimbursed.
7) To my shock, when I got my claim cheque, it was only Rs 19, 000. The Insurance company had deducted Rs 9000 towards the depreciation of the door. Till this time, I was not even aware that door is getting replaced.
8) I had a discussion with National Insurance Surveyor & he in fact kept pressing that door need not be replaced. After great insistence, they took his concurrence to REPLACE THE DOOR
9) Unfortunately, they did not even bother to tell/inform me that this is to be done. This is despite my clear-cut instructions to Rajgopal
10) This is clear-cut case of misguiding the facts & cheating the customer, simply to get more business at the cost of losing the customer loyalty
11) I have been pursuing this case with Rajgopal for many weeks. He has not bothered to return the calls (may be feeling guilty conscious ) & only after warning that I will escalate the matter to Honda management, did I get the response today.
12) In fact, the quality of service undertaken was also sub-standard & he had to send his mechanics to get my clutch oiled.

What hurts me more is that he has taken a complete “U” turn and has gone back on words. As a customer, esp. Honda you cannot get more unprofessional attitude full of mistrust.

I demand a strict action since it is a clear cut case of misguiding the customer. I am sure you would have got several such complaints, which is only tarnishing Honda reputation.

I am not only sure of positive resolution but speedy action also. I do not want to take the matter to Consumer Court as I am confident that Honda cares about its customers.

Its true that I had this complaint initially. But I have to admit that all my grievances have been handled to my satisfaction. Believe me, Mr Rajgopal has taken lots of steps & actually made me a delighted customer. I admire his professionalism & attitude. I in fact would like to withdraw this compaint.

I am having honda city, and today my car hit by some other car. Since morning i am trying that someone come at office pick the car and slove the issue. But no one is avilable . And i am trying to contact the landline nos one one even answering. Kindly Call ASAP. and slove the issue.

I wish to place on record and share with you the extremely pleasant and satisfying experience I had in the process of getting my car Honda City ( Regn # DL 3CV 6771 ) serviced at Pearl Honda, Main Ardee City Road, Sector 52, Gurgaon. Right from the time I reached Pearl Honda on 9 May 12 till I collected the car Today, it was simply wonderful.

My car is 2002 model but has been used with great care and is in real top condition. Therefore besides getting it serviced, I also wanted sound professional advice as to should it be retained or disposed off .

I was received by Deep Prakash Bharadwaj ( Service Advisor ) with a smile and job card prepared by him in a mere 15 minutes with total regard to the inputs provided by me .Soon the car had been test driven by Lokesh – very polite and competent and necessary advice provided . Seeing these two guys in action was professionalism at its best.

I was also met by Rakesh Kapoor, AGM – Service . He assured me of his personal attention and involvement in servicing / repairs of the car .
During the course of the job being done, some additional repairs were identified . I was kept informed by Rakesh and Deep about the nature of such repairs, likely cost and additional time required.

Today I have collected the car. It has been serviced and necessary repairs carried out to my total satisfaction . The process of billing and collection was equally pleasant with the staff being polite, responsive and prompt.

Well this has certainly been among the best experiences that I have had at a Service Station and merits commendation – please trust me as I have been owning cars for almost 40 years now.

I hope Pearl Honda will maintain the high standards in time to come as well and continue to delight the customers. I wish them all the luck .

I own a Honda city car bearing reg no. DL 09 CQ 0627. This car used to be serviced at Ring road Honda till about 3 months back...and than one of my friends Mr Surjit singh sachdeva ( ex Honda) suggested me to visit your service station. I was highly dissatisfied with the services of honda before I visited your service centre and made a complaint to the management of Honda against the services of Ring road Honda about 3-4 months back. That too was not dealt, which is besides the point here.

I wish to congratulate you for your excellent services and people. I interacted with AGM Service in the service section and was really delighted to deal with him. Mr. Rakesh has a right mix of a dedicated human resource for the organization who works for the benefits of the company and someone who has an excellent customer orientation. he ensured that the issues that I visited with, are dealt fully and whn I leave I am a satisfied customer. He offered the right advise on the change in the parts and the repair work to be carried out.

I just thought it would be only fair to share this with you as I find to be very helpful. I thank you and him for helping me resolve the issues. People like him bring pride to the organizations and uphold the brand.

I look forward to similar services from Honda, always.

Shame on Pearl Honda sec 52, shame on Honda to have such a dealer. Mr. Giridhar and Mr. Kaushik there are full of lies, cheat and most unprofessional persons.
