Professional Packers & Movers — Unprofessional handling

I have recently moved from Pune to Ghaziabad. To move my household goods I had opted for Professional P&M as there marketing rep had boasted about their service and their prices were very competitive. However, after handing over the token advance, we got completely different treatment. At the day of packing they came with very less packing material and few items were completely missing. E.g. they had agreed wooden box for our marble temple and wooden boxes for crockery. However, these things were completely missing. Same way they were not having any material to pack my bike. We had a good argument but finally I had to agree to go ahead with whatever they had brought as I had a flight on the same day.
However, I paid them only 50% of amount as advance and told that rest I'll pay once they deliver my goods in good position.
One additional point here is that they added Rs. 2000/- extra as Octroi charges which was clearly not mentioned earlier.

Though I had started feeling cheated, I had no option but to go with them.

Finally, when they delivered the stuff in Ghaziabad, there were too many damages.
Following items were broken/damaged.
TV, temple, Wardrobe, TV Trolley, Vase, few crockery items.
Since, my lot of items were completely damaged I told them that I'll not pay the complete amount and will hold Rs.[protected] until they get me compensation for damaged goods. However, while we were discussing this, some of them loaded my bike back to their truck and tried to leave. Before this I had already given them the acknowledgment that I have received all my goods and mentioned the damaged items for claim purpose. Luckily, our society security guard noticed that truck is not empty and he called to verify.

When I asked them, why they were taking the bike when I have already given them the ack. of receiving all goods, they started talking in rough language.
At this time, they handed me other bill which included the handling charges at their go-down. This again was not mentioned in the beginning.

Finally, I had to pay them the amount as they started behaving rough. I talked to the people in their Delhi & Pune offices and finally managed to hold Rs. 2000/-. They said that they will send insurance representative on next day and then I'll have to pay Rs. 2000/-. To this I agreed.

However, since then we are following up with them but they have not sent their agent. I doubt if they had actually insured my goods.

In summary they charged me Rs. 3000/- for insurance and additional Rs. 3500/- as compared to what we agreed. Still they damaged my goods and I did not receive any claim for that.
