Rickshaw- MH02SA6163 — Meter Reading Excess

Respected Sir/ Officials,

I'm Sumegh Mangle having work place at Versova, Mumbai. I was travelling from Andheri Station to Versova.

This is to lodge a complaint and bring to your notice that Auto-Rickshaw number MH-02-SA-6163 is charging high fare through tampered meter.

Since the fare values are being raised, the fare for travelling from Andheri Station to Versova is at the max. Rs.45/-. Where as when I travelled by this Auto-rickshaw (MH-02-SA-6163) this rickshaw driver charged me Rs.66/- with the meter indicating 5.20. On the other hand he was talking very arrogantly with me demanding for the money. When I told him about the meter of his rickshaw running fast and the meter being tampered, he tried to do some settlements demanding for Rs.60/-, which clearly indicates that he has tampered the meter and wants to escape.

Such Auto-Rickshaw drivers are taking undue advantage of the commuters. When they are being made to known about the authorities like RTO and Officials they try do some settlement. For which poor commuter is forced to shell out money as their "Tampered" meter shows some or the other reading against which they are required to pay.

Please look into the matter and take necessary action to avoid other commuters falling prey to such nuisance.

Incident mentioned by Mr Sumegh does happen most of the times and we people suffer the most.It also happens that auto rickshaw walas mostly come to destinations where only they want...Request you to treat this as urgent...
