Petrol — Reduce Petrol price

The Crude Oil prices declined further to reach below $50 a barrel due to the weak demand for energy in this global economic crisis. This is the lowest crude price in the past 42 months. The US Crude fell $4 to end at $49.62 a barrel.

So we should reduce our petrol and diesel price
This is very true. I am too a resident here. The auto rickshaw prices very hiked when last time fuel prices were hiked but now the fuel prices are reduced totally by Rs.10 still the minimum auto fare are not reduced. RTO department is not taking the complaints of the local residents seriously. this clearly shows how irresponsible RTO NAVI MUMBAI DEPT is.
RTO Navi Mumbai says its not an enforcing authority but only a mediating authority. It cannot take a decision for price cut. However for while increasing the fares the RTO was stupid enough to be very proactive and rates were increased to unimaginable levels in no time. And now the very same RTO has abdicated its jurisdiction for reducing fares by saying that it can only forward passenger grievances to RTA at Mantralaya and decision would only be taken by them. This is nothing but sheer bureaucracy and red tape. All are in for it and they get their share from these politically backed auto unions who are the only ones who matter to the RTO. Consumer comfort, traffic rules, etc are all an eye wash created by RTO in Navi Mumbai.

Hello,
I am a resident of Nerul, and today ie 9th Feb 2009 the auto driver refused to accept the fact that the minimum rates have come down from Rs.13 to Rs.11 and insisted to charge me with the older rates and had to pay more.
When said to the auto driver that the rates came down and I would complain to the RTO he said "JAO JISSE COMPLAINT KARNA HAI KARO", the auto's no. is MH 43 C 76. n he also says "RTO WALON KI TARAF SE HUME KOI NAYA TARIFF CARD NAHIN MILA". If this is true how would normal commuters like me know the auto driver has received the new tariff card or not????

Yesterday also the auto driver charged me more for my travel n charged the minimum as Rs.13 itself.
I am seriously annoyed at this matter.

I request the concerned authority to look into the matter

Regards,
Harsidhi

Navi Mumbai Autorickshaw don't charge fare as per meter...and simply they have decided their own fare for different places which really veyr high...in fact double than wht can be charged with meter..
Govt is not looking after all tht...they should put some restriction on them and should make rule.
and min fare should be Rs.9...This is redicious tht poor people (senior citizen) cannot even use simple vehicle auto bcoz of wht they charge...
I had talk with one autorickshaw regarding this..and he was simply saying tht then u ppl start meter..we will not go be meter...and was syaing tht there are less passangers they are getting so whoever using auto to them they are charging more...but they don't understand tht bcoz of their high auto charge ppl are not using auto..
now a days life is so time demanding tht we cannot affort to wait for bus for short distance or cannot walk (need more time to reach to destination)
something need to be done to this as soon as possible
