[Resolved]  Sabols packaged drinking water — worms in water can

I received a can of pacaged drinking water of Sabols supplied by Cooking Gas Agency, Thiruvanmiyur on 5.4.10.
The can was opened and poured in the dispenser by the distributor . It was subsequently noted that the water was full of worms.
The batch no. as available in the cap is is -[protected] and BIS licence no. is CM/L 6321050.
The tel no . of Sabols as given in the label is[protected] but this no. could not be contacted.As advised by DDG BIS office I sent an email to BIS Chennai([protected]@bis.org.in) to investigate. There was no response from them till 7.4.10 and accordingly I sent a mail to DDG BIS Soth as under
"Kind Attn. DDG
There has been no action from your office in respect of my complaint, except for some advice as to how a consumer should check water cans on receipt!
Thanks for the excellent service provided to the consumers. I do not want to waste further time on this matter and am closing the complaint.God save the country!

In the meantime the supplier was 'gracious' enough to replace the can free of charge and worms
The moot question is what is the strength of the certifying scheme and what is protection available to the consumers

sir i sachin i buy 20 water pouch by name of selzer mfg by shree mineral,survey no710,koeermula(v) ghatakeshar (m) R.R. district purchases from canteen here at chenoy trade center c-bolck shop no 180 at park lane,secundrabad, watar is completly bad and smellesh, no one can drink...when i complaint to owner than he behave like a bad mannar nd told me that complaint of me anywhere no one can touch me..... first he sale bad food after that don't accept fault n asking me bad words....

I agree. I have met other consumers that have seen spiders, fungs and dirt in the water. The promoter Mr. KM Sentil from Coimbatore assured them good quality to avoid bad publicity, but later claimed that this incident never happened. Some of my friends followed the supplier and were shocked to see that the water being filled directly from mucipal taps

We called for the supply of cans. They were supposed to come 3 days earlier. I called them yesterday and they reply, 'Sir, we won't supply water to you'. What does this mean?? Please report to this.
And also.. The water they bring has a lot of worms in it.

There was a dead fly in the can of sabols drinking water that i usually get it from my milk supplier. He has replaced it with a new can. Where should lodge an official complaint ?

It is a requirement to check water before drinking and any water treated beyond potability 35 to 60 TDS (Total Dissolved salts) is used for battery only not for humans, no micro organism can survive is demineralised water, and is unfit for humans too.

We found worms in the Sabols water bottle we bought 3 days ago. This is happening again.

There is a serious problem in your processes. Before it becomes an epidemic do something about this.

I see a whole lot of complaints, with evidence, in this site and no action is being taken. Why?
