I have a portable external hard drive, namely Seagate FreeAgent Go. The computer is not being able to sense it, although the indicating light on the external hdd is blinking when the hdd is connected to the computer via the usb. Hi I am Rahul.I had buyed 2 Harddisk in August 2009, One got out of order with in a week, another in 3 months, In the month of dec I got one of them replaced but in july 2010 I am again faceing the same trouble with this harddisk.this replaced harddisk is making some sought of sound and computer is not able to detect it. one of my friend is facing the same problem with seagate harddisk.and most disgusting thing is I am not able to Complaint about this problem since i have been provided with lot of phone numbers and none of them is working almost all are temporarily out of order and if anyone working then you will get a new contact number from that number.so i would like to suggest all my friends not to go for any seagate product.
