[Resolved]  sigmatel FXD S30 — phone locked

I have purchased a Sigmatel S30 mobile phone from India times shopping. I am having a problem with the sim card insertion. After I insert the sim card the mobile is not recognising the same, I have followed the below procedure
1. Charged the Batteries
2. Opened the back cover and removed the battery
3. Inserted the sim card in Sim 1
4. Put back the battery
5. Switched on the mobile
6. Went to Settings and Dual sim and clicked on the the Sim 1
But still the mobile is not recognising the sim and it is asking " insert sim" please help

I was facing the same problem. Place a piece of folded paper between the sim and battery so that the sim remains pressed downwards. This solved my problem. However, I must say i regret buying this phone. My advice to those reading this is never buy a chinese made product. Thanks
