I participated in the Spar Supermarket Maha Dasara Utsav Offer which entitles me for 2 movie tickets and 2 lunch buffet. I registered in this website http://spar.bigcityrewards.in Then I received the authentication code and I also made the booking request but didn't get any call for confirmation and neither did I receive any movie tickets.

For the lunch buffet I registered my voucher number via SMS I got a confirmation message saying "Thank you for participating in this offer . Pls call 40554850 to redeem you voucher". I tried calling at this number several times but nobody receives the call.


This simply means they have cheated their customers.

Same here. Having registered the voucher, have been calling [protected] for redeeming the Lunch Buffet. This is 40th time that the receiver is unanswered at that end. The last date for using the 'offer' is 15 Jan 2011. For some strange reason the line seems to be busy!

Same here. I have registered for both movie and lunch about 5 days back and have not received any call from them. I tried calling their number [protected] but its not reachable.

Seems its all fraud. Let us raise our voice against it and let spar management take some action on it.

I agree with it completely. Thsi is a SCAM. I think we shoudl bring this to the notice of the SAPR Head Quarters in Europe

its fully washed out rewards and fully waste, i agree with the same comment it should take action on it.

In the month October SPAR hyper mart came with complimentory ( Movie tcikets and Buffet) on purchase of more the Rs.1500 worth items from its stores. After purchasing they gave some vouchers and directed to register of the same. But, for registration those phone numbers were not working and I even tried to register in web link given in it. It Registeted but, not communication for it again.

It has been a big disappointment...their credibility and trustworthiness is at all time low including their integrity in conducting business fairly.

I too had the same issue. SPAR bigcity awards customer care is pathetic. Also never responds to the Email: [protected]@bigcity.in
We need to wait in the long que for getting connected over the phone. And they will say they get back to us. But will never update you the status unless you call back.

Please take them to the consumer court for cheating and wasting customers time.

I too registered before 31st Dec, and tried to call for hotel bookings, but not reachable. Since there is much time, I tried again after a week the call just getting disconneting. The website does not open now.

This is one of the big scam cheating consumers and I am sure SPAR is also involved in this.

I strongly agree that big city are nothing but cheaters. I had two movie vouchers when i had shopped at SPAR Bangalore. Which I registered online in December and the expiry date to avail the offer was on the 15th of Jan 2011. After registration i received a authorization and booked for movies on their website and was told that i will get a call back with confirmation. Recieved a call back from the customer support saying that there were no seats available and was advised of a call back. But this was the start of series of lies from big city promotion, neither i got a call back or any sms. I called them almost every day to check for seats and was told the same lie that i will get a call back and yesterday being the last day to avail the offer (as 14th was public holiday, not sure how they declared that) i was told that i would get a call back with out fail by 5PM. Thats it i did not get any call and today they say that the offer is expired and its not their mistake as there were no seats available for them. This i would say is a daylight robbery from SPAR and BIG CITY PROMOTIONS. AND NEVER AGAIN FALL INTO THESE TRAPS

i totally agree with the complaint. even i am a suferrer at their hands.
i had got a movie card in acer love machine offer from bigcity rewards, , but the people at bigcity are totally irresponsible and never attends the call or jst keep saying that they will call... and so on
the cost of calling their banglore office is much more than the price of movie tickets.

Hi,

The Government collects lot of amount on service tax and our financial Institutions don't take any actions on these kind of cheating cases. MAX is reputed and I never expected they will do this to their loyal customers. I will never ever visit this MAX on my life time and I will make sure that the complaint will be soon launched at the consumer court and drag this cheaters.

u hav tym to write all dese long letters, so y not get together nd do sumthing abt it??
