ST BUS SERVICE from NAVGHAR TO VASAI EAST — REQUEST FOR MORE BUSES

I am a resident of Vasai East, Vasant Nagri. Since the last fortnight, the scenario is a daily feature at Vasai East station where there are serpent line queues for auto rickshaws. The Auto drivers prefer to ferry private passengers at an exorbitant fare ranging from Rs.40/- to Rs. 50/-. The shared Auto price is Rs. 8/- per seat. They charge Rs.10/- and refuse to give back the Rs. 2/- which is excess charged. Every single day one has to face this ordeal morning and evening arguing, which is a futile effort and land up paying Rs.10/- in spite of waiting in long queues for nearly 1 and half hours.



The ST Bus service started from Vasai West Bus deport has only 2 buses that ply which is not sufficient for Evershine and Vasant Nagri passengers. That too after waiting patiently it’s so packed from Evershine City itself that one cannot get in, but let go. Also the bus only passes through Vasant Nagri sector-1 (Turning Point). Two separate Bus services are required for Vasant Nagri and Rashmi Complex combined and another for Evershine City. The ideal starting point would be Rashmi complex to Vasai East Station and back.



Point to be noted is commuting to work in town from long distances by modes of Rickshaws, ST Buses and Trains is time consuming, burning a hole in one’s pocket, added to inconvenience.



I request you to kindly look into the matter at the earliest, and resolve the same sparing the residents of Vasai belt from such harassment.

I agree to this completely. As the rickshaws have increased the fare to Rs.10/- which is simply not worth it.
On top of that they throw tantrums while occupying the rickshaw.
Its high time based on the increasing development and population of vasai east this needs to be controlled by either getting meter system in place and by providing regular bus services.
There is also a requirement to increase the last stop of vasant nagari to Rashmi.
This should be taken seriouy as they are really trying patients of commuters.

Theres should be buses from Nalasopara - Waliv -Nalasopara such routes will help the passengers with option of going to Nalasopara station also. There are many passengers travel to industrial town from vasai these passengers can go from nalasopara station.

I totally agree with it. after increase in fares there is one more problem, as per new rule informed only 3 passangers are allowed but they rufese and take 4 passanges which is also a big problem and when we complaint they say that they are giving hafta so whatever you want to do you can do or complains.

I would like to know whether any standard meter system (electronic ones) would be introduced in the Autos plying in Vasai Virar area. The rickshaw drivers/owners charge exorbitant fares and customers often feel cheated as there is no standard or fixed rate for specific distances. It would be good thing for the benefit of both the passengers as well as the rickshaw drivers to understand the estimate fare for certain distances.

For the progress of a certain place I think it is vital as it shows that the public services are in a proper order and new people who are likely to migrate to these regions would feel more secure and taken care by the local authority.
