Dear Sirs,
I was travelling in my car from Avadi to OMR and this incident happened at Ambattur. One MTC Vus No.TN01 N5349, a 40A route from Avadi to Anna Square was just beside me and started pushing me to the right. His behaviour seemed to be intentional I could not cope up since the bus body was literally touching by side mirror and my wife was getting scared. However I could just get to the front and stopped the car. My bad luck was that the policeman ahead stopped the traffic and within the few seconds the driver just took a quick cut to my left again and slammed my left mirror bending it. He just bent down and said Take Care of yourself and your wife, I may get you both killed. I could not take, I just went forward to the policeman and complained. While he shouted at the driver, the driver just passed on driving the bus like an auto.
The MTC drivers drive as if they are licenced to kill. This is one of the many experiences I have had in this city. Its pathetic that the machinery / government is unable to curb these menances and policemen just tell us to be away from them. Is there any punishment mechanism on these arrogant behaviour, taking others lives as granted? I have my doubts. Hope more public start taking some time on taking these issues with the government.
